The Senior Scouts of ๐—ฆ๐—ฃ๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ง๐—” ๐—ฆ-๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ actively assisted the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) during a school earthquake simulation conducted for Special Program for Science (SPS) Grade 7โ€“10 students. ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿซ

Through guidance, coordination, and hands-on support, the Scouts helped prepare students to respond effectively in times of disasterโ€”promoting awareness, readiness, and safety within the school community. โšœ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ…โœจ

The โ€œRatataโ€ hand salute started at Argawanon Integrated School in 2019. It was made by Kanghagas 725โ€™s former Senior Crew Leader, Tatar Demape, now a graduate. What began as a fun moment during a school encampment slowly became a symbol of friendship and creativity. The chant โ€œRatataโ€ came from Demapeโ€™s first name, Tatar.

The salute was first shown officially during the 2019 District Camp, where the group won champion in Fancy Drill. It was later used in the 2019 Area Camp and is still used todayโ€”especially by SRNHS Sparta S-720. They showed it during the 2022 Regional Scout Venture Camp, where an iconic photo was taken by the Venturer Rover Visual Scouts. That photo was later used in the 14th EVR-RSJ, 18th NSJ, and 33rd APRSJ as a background to represent the Cebu Councilโ€™s camp gate name.

The history of Northern Cebuโ€™s Boy Scouts is one of passion, creativity, and shared experiences. We are known not only for the fun and laughter we bring, but for the ideas we create together. Good ideas come from knowledgeโ€”but great ideas are born from the time we share with one another.

We are Area X-5.

Unity is tested during moments of disagreement, strong emotion, and challenge.
