𝙋𝙔𝘼𝙋 𝙉𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙨 𝙊𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝘾𝙁 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙀𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙪𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 21, 2025.

On December 21, 2025, PYAP Negros Occidental in partnership with LCF successfully conducted the Year End Run for a Cause for the benefit of Calamunding Elementary School and its learners.

We are truly proud of the active participation of the PYAP Sagay City Chapter whose dedication unity and volunteer spirit greatly contributed to the success of this meaningful initiative. This activity highlighted the strength of collaboration and the commitment of the youth in supporting education and community development.

More than a run this event became a 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞,𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Every step taken reflected a shared goal of creating better opportunities and a brighter future for the learners of Calamunding Elementary School.

The journey toward a more 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 continues as the 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 enters its second week — spreading hope, inspiration, and the joy of learning.

Held at Bato Central Elementary School, the activity became a hub of smiles, stories, and shared learning — proving that when the youth unite for a cause, change begins to happen, one child at a time. Through storytelling and interactive reading sessions, the volunteers reminded everyone that literacy is more than just reading — it’s a bridge toward dreams, confidence, and a brighter future.

This initiative stands as a reflection of Sagay’s commitment to education, compassion, and youth empowerment.

𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀: 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻.’ 🌍💙
This theme came alive in Sagay as PYAP-Sagay and PYAP-Barangay Rizal Chapter, together with the active participation of the Kabataang Sagaynon, school organizations, youth organizations, and many other groups, united for the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐲 at the coastal area of Barangay Old Sagay.

It was a record-breaking movement , the largest volunteer turnout in Sagay’s history — proving that when hearts and hands come together, change is possible. Spearheaded by SK Federation President Hon. Marnielin Marco, in partnership with DENR-CENRO Sagay and the Sagay Marine Reserve personnel, the activity transformed a simple cleanup into a living symbol of hope, responsibility, and solidarity.

The shoreline became a place of stories: of youth bending down to pick up waste not their own, of schools and organizations working hand in hand, of communities showing their love for the seas that sustain us.

Every act, no matter how small, became a piece of a bigger promise — a promise that Sagaynons will not turn away from the climate crisis, but will rise to face it together.
