In its continuing mission to empower young leaders and promote environmental awareness, 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧-𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐧 (𝐋𝐊) took part in the School-Based Youth Leadership Summit held at 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 on October 10–12, 2025. The event was organized and conducted by the 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, in partnership with the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐨.The summit aimed to train students to become leaders of the 21st century by applying their knowledge to create positive changes in their communities.

Representing Libot Kalibutan-onan, 𝐌𝐱. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐚, an Active citizenship advocate and dedicated member of LK, delivered an inspiring talk on Climate Action (SDG No. 13). 𝐌𝐱. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐚 highlighted the vital role of the youth in addressing climate challenges through sustainable practices, community involvement, and responsible leadership that protect and preserve the environment.

For years, Libot Kalibutan-onan has strengthened its partnership with schools, various youth-led organizations, including the Youth for Peace Movement and the Sangguniang Kabataan, to promote civic education and environmental stewardship. These partnerships reflect a shared commitment to empowering young individuals to become active citizens and advocates for a sustainable future.

𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, as emphasized during the discussion, is more than just an environmental responsibility. It is a call for collective commitment to sustainability and resilience. It encourages everyone, especially the youth, to take proactive steps in reducing their carbon footprint, conserving natural resources, and protecting ecosystems. Through continuous collaboration and education, 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒐𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒏-𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒏 remains steadfast in its mission to inspire and nurture a generation of environmentally aware and socially responsible leaders who will champion a greener and more sustainable future for all.

Libot Kalibutan-onan Organization proudly invites LK members/alumni, and the youths of Sagay to its 6th Advocacies Training, themed “ANIM: Advocacy-niched Individual for Mobilization"𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠 – 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆-𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻".” More than just the Filipino word for six, ANIM represents a bold new direction—encouraging young leaders to discover their own advocacy niche and transform their passion into collective action.

This year's training will be held on July 27, 2025, at the scenic Jamago Beach Resort, aligning with our anniversary celebration. Participants will engage in dynamic learning sessions, hands-on workshops, and community-building activities—all aimed at deepening their understanding of advocacy and empowering them to mobilize their peers and communities.

Six Years of Impact, Right Now!

𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 6𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮, 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙤𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙖𝙣-𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙣💚✊️

This day marks a significant milestone for the Libot Kalibutan-onan Organization (LK) as it proudly celebrates its 6th anniversary of empowering youth through impactful advocacies and volunteerism. For six years, LK has been a beacon of hope and action in the community, inspiring young individuals to become catalysts for positive change in their communities and the world.

From its inception, Libot Kalibutan-onan, a name that beautifully combines "Libot" (around/to turn around), "Kalibutan" (earth/world/surroundings), and "Kabatan-onan" (youth) to signify "Malibot ang Kabataan para buligan ang Kalibutan" (Go around, Youth, to help our World/Nation), has been dedicated to foster active citizenship and raising awareness on pressing social issues. Their commitment spans in advocacy areas such as environment, education, health, social inclusion, and active citizenship that were identified in the centers of youth participation of National Youth Commission.

Through various initiatives, LK has consistently provided a platform for young people to engage in civic duties, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the betterment of society. Their efforts have not only educated youth on critical matters but also instilled in them a profound spirit of volunteerism, transforming aspirations into tangible actions.

As part of this anniversary celebration, Libot Kalibutan-onan Organization is thrilled to unveil its ambitious new theme and the title for their upcoming 6th advocacies training: "𝘼𝙉𝙄𝙈: 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙘𝙮-𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣." This powerful theme, where "ANIM" not only signifies "six" but also acts as an acronym, represents LKO's evolved vision of cultivating an Advocacy-niched Individual for Mobilization by encouraging youth to identify and specialize in specific areas of advocacy that genuinely resonate with them, fostering engagement and expertise to ultimately transform individual passion and knowledge into collective action by rallying support, organizing efforts, and inspiring others to drive meaningful community-wide movements.

The "ANIM" training in July will equip participants with the specialized knowledge and tools needed to excel in their chosen advocacy areas, effectively empowering them to mobilize peers and communities and become highly effective agents of change.

Libot Kalibutan-onan Organization extends a heartfelt invitation to all aspiring youth advocates and passionate volunteers to join them in their current anniversary festivities and, importantly, to participate in this transformative "ANIM" training. We eagerly anticipate seeing you in July for the training, especially as we collectively celebrate International Youth Day on August, championing the immense power of youth to shape a better world.

𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙤𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙖𝙣-𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙣 𝙅𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙊𝙘𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣🌊🌊🌊

Earlier today, the coastal areas of Barangay Old Sagay had a thorough cleanup as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO) Cadiz led a major initiative for World Oceans Day. The Libot Kalibutan-onan Organization, VNHS-SSLG, and the Sagay SK Federation joined this movement, along with other community groups.

Volunteers spread out along the coastline, diligently collecting various forms of trash. The effort aimed to address marine pollution and preserve the local environment.

The DENR-CENRO Cadiz along with Sagay SK Federation spearheaded the activity, with support from participating organizations. Also, the initiative highlighted community involvement in environmental protection, contributing to the health of marine ecosystems.
