Today, December 30, 2025, we gather to celebrate Dr. Jose Rizal Day, a day etched in the heart of every Filipino. This year marks the 129th anniversary of his heroic martyrdom, a moment that forever changed the course of our nation’s history. Our gathering takes place at Plaza Libertad in Iloilo City, a sacred space that holds its own story of courage and freedom.

Dr. Rizal’s sacrifice was not just an act of defiance against oppression—it was a testament to his unwavering love for the Philippines. He dedicated his life to seeking truth, promoting education, and inspiring his countrymen to rise with dignity and purpose. Plaza Libertad, once a site of colonial rule turned into a symbol of liberation, is the perfect place to honor a man who fought for the very freedom this space represents. Here, we stand where past and present meet, reminding us that his legacy lives on in every Filipino who dares to dream of a better nation.

To the administration, faculty, and staff of Rivera Elementary School at Brgy 200, Zone 20, Pasay City – we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your school graciously accommodated Outfit 216 from Pototan National Comprehensive High School during our stay from December 21 to 23, 2025. This warm welcome set the perfect tone for our entire visit.

Your excellent accommodation exceeded all our expectations, providing us with comfortable spaces to rest . The clean facilities, well-organized areas, and thoughtful arrangements made us feel right at home away from home. We are truly grateful for how you ensured our safety and convenience throughout our stay.

A very special thanks goes to Mam Lyn, whose constant guidance made a world of difference to us. She went out of her way to assist us with every detail, from navigating the area to addressing our needs promptly. Her kindness, patience, and warm personality made our time in Pasay City even more memorable. Once again, thank you to Rivera Elementary School and Mam Lyn – we will always cherish this wonderful experience.

Ang araw na ito ay isang paalala na hindi matatapos ang laban ng bawat Pilipino hangga’t katiwalian ang dumadaloy sa ugat ng ating bayan. Sa kabila ng pagdanak ng dugo, dunong, pagod, at buhay para sa kalayaan—patuloy pa ring niyuyurakan ang dangal at kinabukasan ng sambayanan.

Walang dapat manahimik—maningil at tumindig laban sa kurapsyon dahil hindi pa tapos ang laban ni Bonifacio para sa bayang malaya sa mga kamay na gahaman sa kapangyarihan.

Senior Scouts from Outfit 216 proudly showcased their seamanship skills during the MISSION OBJECTIVE WEEK, emerging victorious in the Rope Splicing and Knot Tying Competitions.

🥉 Ian Div Cyrem M. Patosa – 3rd Place, Rope Splicing Competition

Despite being only Grade 11 students, they triumphed over BSMarE College competitors, proving that dedication and mastery knows no age or level. Their achievements exemplify the true spirit of Scouting—skill, discipline, and perseverance—bringing pride and honor to their outfit.

✨ This October, Outfit 216/Pototan NCHS is buzzing with purpose as we launch our Scouting Month Celebration, anchored by the vibrant theme: “Service, Innovation, and Scouting for All — building a future where every act of service inspires, every idea sparks change, and every scout makes a difference.” ✨ Our scouts have brought this theme to life through community clean-ups, tech-powered sustainability workshops, and inclusive leadership sessions, turning abstract values into tangible acts that lift up both our school campus and the nearby Pototan community. Whether a junior scout is teaching peers embodies the “service” and “innovation” at the theme’s core, proving scouting is about more than badges—it’s about nurturing kind, creative problem-solvers. The “Scouting for All” pillar shines too, as we’ve expanded our scouting ranks this month to welcome more students, ensuring no one misses the chance to learn, lead, and contribute.
