📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to the inclement weather and continuous heavy rainfall experienced today, the 4-H CARES 2.0: Feeding Heads, Reaching Hearts, Helping Hands, and Improving Health Outreach Program, originally scheduled for July 12, 2026, has been POSTPONED to Saturday, July 18, 2026.

The safety and well-being of our beneficiaries, volunteers, partners, and everyone involved remain our highest priority. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we prioritize everyone's safety during these weather conditions.

We look forward to seeing our young beneficiaries from Brgy. Pitogo, Pototan, Iloilo (ages 7–15 years old) on the new schedule for a meaningful day of learning, nutritious meals featuring High Zinc Rice sponsored by DA PhilRice Negros, fresh vegetables from the Gulayan sa Bayan of 4-H Maya Pototan, and a Simple Gardening Talk and Demonstration.

🌱 4-𝙃 𝘾𝘼𝙍𝙀𝙎 2.0: 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨, 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨, 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝💚

The 4-H Maya Municipal Federation – Pototan, in partnership with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Pototan, Gulayan sa Bayan, and DA PhilRice Negros, warmly invites the children of Brgy. Pitogo, Pototan, Iloilo, ages 7–15 years old, to join 4-H CARES 2.0 on July 12, 2026.

This outreach program is designed to promote proper nutrition, healthy living, and appreciation for agriculture through fun and meaningful learning activities.

✨ Activity Highlights:
🌾 High Zinc Rice, generously sponsored by DA PhilRice Negros, will be prepared and served as part of a nutritious meal.
🥬 Fresh vegetables harvested from the Gulayan sa Bayan of 4-H Maya Pototan will also be served to our young beneficiaries.
🌱 Simple Gardening Talk and Demonstration to inspire children to grow their own healthy and nutritious food at home.

Together, let us nurture young minds, encourage healthy eating habits, and cultivate a love for agriculture—one child, one family, and one community at a time.

The proposed ordinance institutionalizing the 4-H Club in Iloilo Province has successfully passed its First Reading.

We remain hopeful for its successful passage as we continue to empower rural youth and promote agricultural development.

June 26, 2026 — 4-H MAYA Pototan proudly participated in the Iloilo Provincial Pride Month Celebration held at Cordero Gym, Pototan, with the theme "One Province, One Pride, One Community."

The celebration featured a meaningful symposium on HIV Prevention and the Philippine HIV and AIDS Policy Act (Republic Act No. 11166), with Team Dugong Bughaw as the guest speakers. The discussion highlighted key provisions of the law, including anti-discrimination, comprehensive HIV education, and access to HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and support services.

The symposium emphasized the importance of HIV awareness, prevention, and fostering an inclusive and stigma-free community.
As part of the celebration, Aljon P. Grande, Federation President, voluntarily participated in the free HIV testing activity (with their consent to post). His participation reflects a commitment to promoting HIV awareness, encouraging prevention, and helping reduce the stigma surrounding HIV testing.

By taking this step, they demonstrated the importance of knowing one's HIV status and supporting a community where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered.

Their participation serves as a reminder that creating safe spaces begins with openness, education, compassion, and collective action.

🍀 LEARNING TODAY, LEADING TOMORROW! 🍀

Congratulations to Mr. Aljon P. Grande, President of 4-H Maya Pototan, for successfully completing the Training on Social Mobilization and Community Organizing held on June 21–24, 2026 at Berondo Integrated Farm and Learning Site, Inc., San Julian, Tapaz, Capiz.

This training has equipped him with valuable knowledge and skills in community engagement, leadership, participation, and organization building—tools that will greatly strengthen the programs and initiatives of the 4-H Club. Through these learnings, 4-H Maya Pototan can further empower young people, mobilize communities, and create meaningful change through collective action.

As a 4-H leader, Mr. Grande is committed to bringing these learnings back to the organization and applying them to develop more active, united, and resilient 4-H members and communities.

The 4-H Maya Municipal Federation of Pototan proudly congratulates Aljon P. Grande , Municipal President, and Daryl John Lamprea Dar John , Federation Member, for successfully completing the Training of Trainers (TOT) on Farm Business School (FBS) held on June 8–19, 2026 at Dreamers Valley Camp, Tigbauan, Iloilo.

As part of the training, the participants developed and presented their proposed business plans:

🐟 Lamprea's Integrated Farm: Hito Production – proposed by Daryl John Lamprea

The 4-H MAYA Municipal Federation of Pototan successfully conducted its Monthly Meeting on June 13, 2026, at the Second Floor, Municipal Agriculture Office, led by Federation President Aljon P. Grande and Secretary Faith Benadero.

The primary agenda of the meeting was the adoption and approval of the Federation’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO), which will serve as the official guiding framework for all programs, projects, and activities of the organization moving forward. This milestone reflects the federation’s strong commitment to youth leadership, organizational direction, and long-term sustainability.

Other matters discussed during the meeting included the finalization of the 5-Year Development Plan, preparations for the upcoming Provincial Achievement Day (PAD) 2026, and initial planning for proposed activities for the month of July.

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of unity and purpose, reinforcing the federation’s commitment to setting high standards in 4-H leadership and youth development.
