Fresh from the Rooftop Garden of Peace to the kitchen! 💚

Our latest harvest of herbs has made its way to Vatel Restaurant at the Atrium Campus, where fresh ingredients become exceptional culinary creations. This simple harvest reflects how sustainability comes full circle—from growing food on campus to supporting learning and nutrition.

Our Rooftop Garden continues to flourish! 🍍🍋
The pineapples and lemons we collected from Peace Kamp, Porac, Pampanga and planted in the garden have also started to bear fruit, proving that with care, patience, and a shared commitment to sustainability, even the smallest green spaces can thrive.

Here’s to growing food and nourishing our community—one harvest at a time. 🍃

De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Kapisanang Balik Kalikasan (KABALIKAT), Inc., witnessed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR–PENRO) Rizal, during a courtesy visit held this morning at the PENRO Rizal Office in Taytay, Rizal.

Representing the College were Ms. Alma Yango, Director of the Center for Built Environment and Logistics, and Dean Joana Añonuevo, Dean of the Lasallian Mission and Student Life, together with representatives from the Manila and Antipolo campuses.

This partnership reaffirms Benilde’s commitment to revitalizing its reforestation program under the One Million Trees and Beyond initiative of De La Salle Philippines. It also strengthens the College’s ongoing ecological sustainability initiatives and advances its commitment to the vision and goals of Laudato Si’.

Together, we continue to cultivate a greener, more sustainable future for our common home.

𝐎𝐌𝐓𝐁 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐎

Earlier today, July 18, 2026, answering the call to care for our common home, our community came together today to turn our Lasallian purpose into action!

​We have successfully concluded our Joint Ecological Stewardship Initiative in Brgy. Sto Niño, Tanay, Rizal. Together, we planted 500 seedlings of native and fruit-bearing trees, taking a tangible step toward ecological conversion and breathing new life into God's creation. This initiative proudly supports the One Million Trees and Beyond Program, reinforcing our lifelong commitment to environmental sustainability.

A simple yet impactful sustainability initiative is brewing at Vatel Café at The Atrium @ Benilde. Instead of discarding empty milk cartons, the café repurposes them as cup holders for to-go orders.

Repurposing materials like this helps reduce waste and promotes a culture of reuse. Kudos to Vatel Café for giving materials a second life and inspiring a more circular and environmentally conscious Benilde community! 💚
