DLSU Mental Health Task Force

DLSU Mental Health Task Force The DLSU Mental Health Task Force (MHTF) is a student volunteer organization helping address DLSU students' mental well-being concerns.

They collaborate with the Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS). This page is managed by the MHTF Field Guild. Formerly a student volunteer group (formerly DLSU Mental Health Advocates and DLSU Peer Facilitators), the DLSU Legislative Assembly created the DLSU Mental Health Task Force (MHTF) under PLAR No. 2019-01-16 on October 16, 2019. Past USG President Maegan Ragudo advanced the creation

of the MHTF as "[it] was essential in ensuring that we have first-aid student responders under the care of [then] Office of Counseling and Career Services (OCCS, now CPS) while we lobbied for the passage of a comprehensive policy." On January 31, 2024, the DLSU Legislative Assembly passed Legislative Act No. 2024-26 to formally transfer the DLSU MHTF from the DLSU USG Office of the President to the then-DLSU Office of Counseling and Career Services (Legislative MHTF Transfer Act of 2024). USG Chief Legislator Bhianca Ysabelle Cruz inked this transfer on the DLSU Legislative Assembly's page on February 5, 2024. DLSU Mental Health Task Force (MHTF) is a student volunteer organization that helps address the mental well-being concerns of DLSU students. In collaboration with the DLSU Counseling and Psychological Services, this organization helps bridge mental well-being gaps within the academic Lasallian community of the Manila Campus.

Through shared learning and reflection, MHTF volunteers revisited the core values of empathy, respect, confidentiality, and professionalism, anchoring these not only in practice but also in purpose. The seminar served as a reminder that every lesson is part of a shared journey, and every journey is a gift, as we commit to providing compassionate, high-quality service to the Lasallian community. ๐Ÿ™

Last Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the Mental Health Task Force came together for a Listening Skills Training that taught us the value of presence in a world that rarely slows down. In that space, we practiced empathy, patience, and the strength of simply being there for someone else.

As stories were shared and lessons unfolded, they learned that listening is one of the purest forms of care and reminds us that no one has to carry their thoughts and feelings alone. Growth, much like transformation, begins when people feel safe enough to be seen and heard.
