Junior Chamber International (JCI) Imus Wagayway is a local organization affiliated with the Junior Chamber International Philippines, It was organized on May 28, 2013 with Johnny S, Montalan as the Charter President. The name “WAGAYWAY” was derived from The May 28, 1898 BATTLE OF ALAPAN in Imus, Cavite, which led to the FIRST WAIVING of the Philippine flag following a victory by the local revolut

ionaries against the Spanish forces. The chapter started with twenty five (25) active members from leaders of different community sectors (Teachers, Students, Businessmen, Church Members, Local Government Officials, Private and Government Employees and individuals) who believes in the Mission and Vision of the organization. After its accreditation in JCI Philippines, hosted by JCI BINAN, the local organization has directly and actively been involved in but not limited to socio-civic projects and programs aimed to “create positive change” in the lives of many. Since then, the JCI Imus Wagayway has been recognized locally and internationally for its contributions to better the lives of its members and the community.

Today, as we celebrate the 13th Founding Anniversary of JCI Imus Wagayway, we also proudly commemorate National Flag Day. A meaningful reminder of the rich history and patriotism deeply rooted in the City of Imus, where our Philippine flag was first raised in victory.

As a local organization carrying the name “Wagayway,” symbolizing the waving of our nation’s flag, we continue to uphold the values of leadership, active citizenship, and service to humanity. Guided by the JCI Creed and its tenets, we believe that service to humanity is the best work of life and that true leadership creates positive change in society.

For 13 years, JCI Imus Wagayway has remained committed to developing young leaders dedicated to building sustainable communities, empowering the youth, and inspiring active citizenship.
