Junior Chamber International (JCI) Imus Wagayway is a local organization affiliated with the Junior Chamber International Philippines, It was organized on May 28, 2013 with Johnny S, Montalan as the Charter President. The name “WAGAYWAY” was derived from The May 28, 1898 BATTLE OF ALAPAN in Imus, Cavite, which led to the FIRST WAIVING of the Philippine flag following a victory by the local revolut

ionaries against the Spanish forces. The chapter started with twenty five (25) active members from leaders of different community sectors (Teachers, Students, Businessmen, Church Members, Local Government Officials, Private and Government Employees and individuals) who believes in the Mission and Vision of the organization. After its accreditation in JCI Philippines, hosted by JCI BINAN, the local organization has directly and actively been involved in but not limited to socio-civic projects and programs aimed to “create positive change” in the lives of many. Since then, the JCI Imus Wagayway has been recognized locally and internationally for its contributions to better the lives of its members and the community.

Fill In The GAP (Gabay Aral Program)

This year, JCI Imus Wagayway proudly redefined Fill In The GAP (Gabay Aral Program) by bringing innovation and greater impact to our Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at BJMP Imus City Jail.

More than a literacy program, this year's initiative introduced an NC I Basic Massage Training, providing participants with practical livelihood skills that can help them rebuild their lives and prepare for a brighter future after reintegration into society.

For eight consecutive Saturdays, beginning in March 2026, our dedicated volunteers, educators, and partners came together to prove that education and skills development can transform lives, restore dignity, and create second chances.

This meaningful journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our valued partners:

🤝 NSTP Students of STI Bacoor
🤝 Teacher Volunteers from PHINMA–St. Jude College
🤝 Teacher Volunteers from Malinta Elementary School, Dasmariñas City
🤝 Sotomayor's Printing Services

A special thank you to our co-host Local Organizations, JCI Malabon and JCI Lucena, for joining us in making this initiative a success.

READY @ Home: Responsive Emergency Actions for Daily You

Preparedness saves lives, As part of the JCI Week 2026 celebration, JCI Imus Wagayway successfully conducted READY @ Home on April 21, 2026, at Alapan 2 Elementary School, Imus, Cavite.

The initiative brought together families from communities affected by the recent typhoon, particularly those living near the river, to strengthen their knowledge and preparedness for future emergencies.

Through practical discussions and hands-on learning, participants gained essential knowledge on disaster preparedness, emergency response, family safety planning, and the actions they can take before, during, and after disasters. By empowering families with these life-saving skills, we are helping build safer, more resilient communities that are ready to face any challenge.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, volunteers, and participants for making this initiative a success. Together, we continue to create communities that are informed, prepared, and resilient.

Project FLAG (Free Legal Assistance and Guidance)

Building safer communities starts with empowering people through knowledge.
As part of the JCI Week 2026 celebration, JCI Imus Wagayway successfully conducted Project FLAG (Free Legal Assistance and Guidance) on April 20, 2026, at Lotus Mall, Imus City, Cavite.

With the theme of preventing cyber-enabled crimes through education, legal empowerment, and multi-sector collaboration, the project equipped community members with valuable knowledge on cyber safety while providing free legal consultation and guidance to those seeking legal assistance.

This initiative was made possible through the strong partnership of YGoal, the APAC Cybersecurity Fund, and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cavite Chapter, whose volunteer lawyers generously offered free legal assistance to the public.

JCI Imus Wagayway is ready to build heroes from the inside out!

In partnership with AKTIBO, we are officially launching Future Heroes and NutriChefs on July 4, 2026, at 8:00 AM at the Covered Court, Malagasang 2-F.

This joint initiative introduces kids aged 10-15 to a powerful combination of sports development and nutrition. Ready to hit the court, President Bob Belocura Jr. will kick things off with a dynamic basketball clinic focused on discipline, teamwork, and core skills. After working up an appetite, the youth will head to a hands-on workshop led by Chef Jemima David, who will teach them the art of basic nutrition and healthy meal preparation. Through this interactive session, they will discover how choosing fresh, budget-friendly ingredients over processed alternatives can optimize their athletic performance and daily wellness.

Together, let’s shape positive habits, break stereotypes, and prove that our youth are ready to play, cook, lead, and shine.

See you there!
