EDUCATION IS A SHARED COMMITMENT

Indeed, it takes a village to raise a child.
This is the wisdom conveyed during the 2026 Stakeholders’ Convergence and Recognition hosted by the Department of Education Schools Division Office of Imus City held at City Hall on July 20, 2026.

The Inner Wheel Club of Mutya ng Imus receives a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its significant contribution, outstanding dedication, active involvement and shared commitment as partner of Malagasang 1 Elementary School fostering holistic development of Imuseño learners. This effort is fullfilled during the Innerwheel Year 2025-2026 under the term of IPP Tina Saquilayan.

Aiming to achieve inclusive and equitable quality education for children,
the gathering strengthens collaboration, and exchange of ideas as well as reaffirms support. One feature that captivates everyones attention is the Commitment Wall where all stakeholders become individual pieces of a big puzzle symbolizing a collective effort.

IWC Chinatown Circle Welcomes the New Inner Wheel Year

The Inner Wheel Club of Chinatown Circle celebrates its Club Handover and Induction Ceremony in bright red, orange and black colors with a sumptuous Japanese lunch spread under paper lanterns and fairy lights on July 13, 2026 at Gala Food Park in Pasay City.

Our very own IPDS Shareen Cayanan plays one of the emcees of this colorful event. IPP Tina Saquilayan joins the club’s momentous gathering together with IWCC Members, DC Mary Ang, IPDC Nene Callanga, National President Jeisela Gaerlan, Immediate Past National President Minnie Elizaga, PNP’s, District Officers, IPP’s, Club Presidents, and other guests who grace the event.

Congratulations to IWC Chinatown Circle Immediate Club President Amy Bautista, Club President Vickie Von Loh and IWC Chinatown Circle members. May we all Grow and Flourish together in service and fellowship.

The Journey to Grow and Fluorish Begins

District Chairperson Mary Ang hosts the D381 Meet and Greet and 1st District Meeting on 7th day of July 2026 at ReHub Events Place in Quezon City. A well attended introductory meeting of District Officers, Club Presidents, Past District Chairpersons and Standing Committee Chairpersons, this get together addresses the district goals, thrusts, calendar of events, projects and initiatives. It is an afternoon filled with fellowship, good food, fun and laughter, dancing and singing with deep meaningful connections.

IWCMI is represented by PDS Shareen Cayanan as the master of ceremonies, Pres. Sheila del Rosario who renders a couple of her song covers being joined by the crowd and IPP Tina Saquilayan as part of the Standing Committee.

Passing the Torch: IWCPI Handover and Induction Ceremony

July 4, 2026 marks the 61st Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. (IWCPI) Handover and Induction Ceremony at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire North Vertis, Quezon City.

The programme transitioning into new leaderships lasts the entire day with a beautiful atmosphere that sets the tone for the IWCPI 2026-2027 International Theme “Grow and Fluourish.”
The Oath of Office of the National Officers together with all District Chairpersons, Club Presidents amd Committe Chairpersons signals the commencement of their respective terms.

D381 Chairperson Mary Ang thanks all the well wishers and conveys that her team still has a long way to go, “May God bless us as we do our job in His Honor.”

One of the highlights of the event is bestowing the major awards and recognitions with our very own IPDC Simeona “Nene” Callanga winning the National President’s Award besting all districts nationwide. She articulates her gratitude to her special team, club presidents, mentors and advisers, district supporters and all club members of District 381. And in her own words “The throphy has my name but the WIN is OURS!”

Each one witnesses an amazing time of fellowship and service with good food and tokens. The raffle draw entices everyone’s attention and eager anticipation. IWCMI was represented by IPDS Shareen Cayanan and CS Rose Ann Otic.

IWCMI is Off to a Productive Start

The Inner Wheel Club of Mutya ng Imus 2026-2027 Club Officers hold its first club meeting and planning session on July 2, 2026.

IPP Tina Saquilayan expresses her heartfelt gratitude to the entire club on the dedication and support all throughout her term before turning over the meeting to President Sheila del Rosario. Presiding over coffee and donuts at JCo, Pres. Sheila presents her plans for the year while each member enthusiastically share their thoughts during the brainstorming session.

The meeting identifies the club’s core priorities, the challenges as well as opportunities. It also defines the actionable succeeding steps, ensures active and effective collaboration of each member.

Christmas starts bright and early in Pasay City

Christmas in July Project at Barangay 190 Don Carlos Village in Pasay City marks the kickoff of IWY 2026-2027 for Inner Wheel Club of Mutya ng Imus. As one of the co-hosts, the club in cooperation with the Pasay City Tourism Council and Rotary headed by executive director Ms. Tess Robles, holds the July 1st gift giving, activities and services.

Pasay City Mayor Emi-Calixto Rubiano conveys her inspirational messages to her constituents; Ms. Karen Recarro of Pasay City Social Welfare and Development Department discusses Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials; Ms. Russel Magkaso of the Rotary Club of Makati Greenbelt stresses on the impact of throwing trash in the environment and how each individual, as young as the children attendees, can help in saving the planets by acting now; and, Mr. Ledovino Macayan, Associate Dean of Pasay City College of Business Administration talks on Community Development in Support of the Environment. He emphasizes how a problem can turn into opportunities in helping the community as well as creating a source of livelihood.

A visual, plate-based food guide called Pinggang Pinoy developed by the DOST-Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) is presented to parents. Pamphlets, vegetable seedlings and other products promoting the Go, Grow, and Glow foods for every meal to help families eat healthier are given for free. Hydroponics experts share their modern agricultural techniques encouraging the community on backyard farming.

Blood pressure readings, blood sugar, temperature and eye check up are also available. Free reading glasses are on hand.

A corner features artists doing actual drawings and sketches with art materials available for children’s use.
The morning is filled with fun games, distribution of loot bags of treats, snacks, stuffed toys, Jollibee chickenjoy/rice, water bottles and vitamins. The event also features the most loved mascot Jollibee dancing with the kids with photo opportunities.

IWCMI celebrated another milestone winning awards and accepting recognitions and appreciations from both national and district level for the Inner Wheel Year 2025-2026. All these were made possible through the efforts of Pres. Tina Saquilayan and guidance of Past District Secretary Jelyn Maliksi and District Secretary Shareen Cayanan. Equally, the cooperation and collective efforts of IWCMI members empowered the entire club to perform actively and effectively in various undertakings.

1. 𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣 in Category C bestowed to IWCMI/IPP Tina Saquilayan named as 𝘔𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 in highest recognition of her extraordinary leadership and stellar performance making her club the "Créme de la Créme" of the organization.

2.Award of Recognition presented to PDS Shareen Cayanan as Chairperson, Usherettes/Marshals during the recent National Conference held on February 28-March 1, 2026 at Solaire Resort.
