DOST Scholars' Association in Region VI (DOST-SAIS) proudly honors our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 — scholar-leaders who chose to go beyond personal achievement to lead, serve, and create meaningful impact within the DOST scholar community. Through every initiative they championed, every scholar they inspired, and every challenge they embraced, they embodied the true spirit of a DOST scholar-leader — 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 📜👌

For a DOST scholar, graduation is more than the culmination of years of perseverance and academic excellence. It marks the beginning of a lifelong commitment to harness knowledge, science, and innovation in service of the Filipino people. It is a renewed calling to lead with integrity, serve with humility, and create solutions that help build a stronger, more resilient, and more progressive nation. 🎓✨

Their journey reminds us that to 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 is not merely to overcome obstacles or earn distinctions — it is to 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 knowledge into action, leadership into service, and opportunities into hope for others. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲. 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁. 🇵🇭🔬

From July 8–12, 2026, undergraduate DOST-SEI Patriot Scholars from across the country gathered at Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga for the 1st National Patriot Research Conference (NPRC) 2026—the inaugural national research conference that celebrated innovation, collaboration, and the power of science in nation-building.

Anchored on the country's development agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the conference provided a platform for scholars to present their research, exchange ideas with fellow young researchers, receive valuable insights from experts, and strengthen their commitment to creating solutions for the country's most pressing challenges in agriculture, food security, sustainability, and innovation.

Throughout the conference, distinguished speakers reminded delegates that research goes beyond laboratories and publications—it must create meaningful change for the communities it serves. They emphasized that innovation begins with people, science becomes powerful through effective communication, and research reaches its greatest value when translated into real-world impact.

The conference also proudly celebrated the achievements of 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏𝒂𝒔 𝑷. 𝑨𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒅𝒐 of Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST), the only third-year undergraduate among the selected delegates, who earned the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 under the 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 category for his outstanding research presentation.

May every Patriot Scholar continue to transform curiosity into discovery, research into innovation, and knowledge into service for the Filipino people. 🇵🇭💙
