God – Second Time Around
Date: September 9, 2026

Main Text: Jonah 3:1–3

Supporting Texts: Lamentations 3:22–23, Isaiah 16:1, John 15:4

1. Our God is a God of a New Beginning
God gives a second chance: Just as He gave Jonah a fresh start, His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23).

Repentance unlocks purpose: If we are willing to repent and turn back to Him, God is more than willing to use us again, regardless of our past failures.

2. God Has a Clear Mission for Us
Move forward: We cannot afford to stay comfortable in our current positions or dwell in the past.

Called in the busy seasons: God often calls us precisely when we are occupied with life.

A universal scope: His word and mission do not belong exclusively to the four walls of the Church—they are meant for the world (Isaiah 16:1).

3. Immediate Obedience
Action-oriented faith: True repentance always translates into action. We cannot claim to love God while refusing to obey Him.

The danger of delay: Delayed obedience is disobedience.

A life-saving mission: When God calls us, He assigns us a mission. Our immediate obedience and willingness to serve and spread His word can become the instrument God uses to save others.

John 15:4 (NKJV)
