𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕: 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝑺𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒕𝒔 & 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉

Akala natin convenient ang single-use sachets, pero hindi sila basta nawawala. Sa init at klima ng Pinas, nagiging microplastics sila—maliliit na particles na pumapasok sa hangin, tubig, at katawan natin.

Health Risks
• Hormone Disruption: Chemicals sa microplastics pwedeng manggaya ng hormones reproductive at metabolic problems.

• Respiratory Issues: Kapag nasusunog o naiipon sa coastal areas, nalalanghap ang microplastics lung irritation at chronic inflammation.

• Food Chain: Kinakain ng isda at seafood ang microplastics, tapos tayo rin ang affected.

Beyond Convenience
Ang “sachet economy” ay panandaliang ginhawa kapalit ng pangmatagalang sakit. Corporate profit, kapalit ng kalusugan ng tao.

What We Can Do
• Demand transparency from corporations
• Push for clean air & water (better waste management)
• Shift to refills, iwas sachet

“Isang sachet lang” may feel practical today, pero ang tunay na bayad nito ay napupunta sa kalikasan at sa kabuhayan ng ordinaryong Pilipino. 🌊

Panahon na para mas pagtuunan ng pansin ang plastic waste na patuloy na bumabara sa estero, napupunta sa dagat, at nakakaapekto sa mga komunidad. Hindi sapat ang cleanup lang kung tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang paggamit ng single-use plastics.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐩: 𝐏𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐍𝐚-𝐇𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐠 “𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢”

Noon, ang tingi culture ay eco-friendly — dala lang ang sariling lalagyan, bili ng konti, walang kalat. Pero ngayon, corporations pinalitan ang garapon ng tambak na single-use plastic sachets.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐜𝐤

• Ginamit ng big brands ang tingi habit, binalot sa non-recyclable plastic. “Affordable” daw, pero ang tunay na gastos ay mabigat.

• Kabuhayan: Dagat punô ng sachets. Mga mangingisda hirap — nets sira, coral reefs wasak, huli puro plastic kaysa isda.

• Kalusugan: Hindi nawawala ang sachets, nagiging microplastics na pumapasok sa tubig at seafood. Communities suffer lalo na kapag sinusunog ang basura.

• Corporate Pass: Kumita ang companies, pero tao at LGUs ang naiwan sa basura.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬
Hindi kailangang mawala ang tingi — kailangan lang i-deplasticize. Suporta sa refill stations at paniningil ng accountability sa producers para protektado ang tao at kalikasan.
