This morning, August 14, representatives of the Federation attended the Higalaay Festival 2026 Civic Military Parade Briefing at the City Tourism Hall, as preparations continue for this year’s grand celebration.

With pride, unity, and a strong sense of community, we look forward to marching together and showcasing the presence, contribution, and vibrant spirit of the LGBTQIA+ community of Cagayan de Oro City. 🏳️‍🌈💛

Strength in Pride. United in Purpose. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

The Cagayan De Oro City LGBTQIA+ Federation Officers had a productive meeting with Kagay-anon and the National President of LGBT Pilipinas, Atty. Samantha S. Tan, as we continue meaningful conversations in strengthening our community, protecting our rights, and building a federation that truly serves every LGBTQIA+ individual.

This is only the beginning of something bigger.

We are slowly rebuilding every piece—with unity, integrity, and unwavering commitment—so that no one can take away an organization that belongs to all of us. Challenges may come. There may be those who wish to divide, discourage, or dismantle what we have worked so hard to build. But our purpose is stronger than any dark scheme.

To those who believe the Federation will be “dissolved,” we have only one message:

We will do our utmost best to work our way up because WE ARE EVOLVING. 💫

Like the phoenix, from the ashes, we will rise—stronger, wiser, and more united than ever before.

This Federation is built on the courage, voices, and dreams of the LGBTQIA+ community of Cagayan de Oro. And together, we will continue to create a future where every member is represented, respected, and empowered.

Something bigger is coming. Something worth looking forward to.
