⚠️ STRICT CURFEW IMPLEMENTATION IN BARANGAY 17 ⚠️

The Barangay 17 Council is reminding all parents, guardians, children, and young people that the 10:00 PM curfew for minors will be strictly enforced.

Whether you are a resident of Barangay 17 or from a neighboring barangay, minors are not allowed to stay, loiter, or roam the streets beyond 10:00 PM unless there is a valid and important reason and they are properly accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

Several minors have already been apprehended for violating the Barangay Curfew Ordinance and were referred to the proper authorities and intervention facility for appropriate action.

The group shown in the attached photo was found violating curfew hours and showing disrespect toward police authorities. Their parents and guardians were immediately called and required to appear before barangay officials. The minors were counseled, made a commitment not to repeat the violation, and were assigned appropriate community service as part of the barangay’s corrective intervention.

This policy is not intended to shame or harm our young people. It is being implemented to protect them from accidents, violence, illegal activities, and other dangers that may occur late at night.

We strongly call on all parents and guardians to know where their children are, especially during nighttime. Discipline starts at home, while the safety of our youth is a shared responsibility of the family, barangay, and community.

Please be guided accordingly.
