The ISDA Kauswagan Association achieved a major milestone by securing 1st Place at the recently concluded "Youth Pitch: Empowering Youth Organizations Through Project Ideas" held on June 12โ€“13, 2026, at the VIP Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. Jointly organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Kauswagan and Tabang Sikad, the two-day capacity-building activity empowered local youth groups to transform community ideas into actionable projects.

Representing the association, Chairperson Ms. Kirby Jade Balagonsa, alongside Charles Clement Dacer, successfully pitched their innovative project proposal titled "iKAlusugan: Pag-uma sa Nutrisyon, Pagtubo sa Himsog nga Tungha-an." Focusing on fostering better nutrition and healthier school environments, their impactful presentation stood out before the panel of judges, earning them a top spot and a seed grant to bring their initiative to life.

Beyond the event, Youth Pitch 2026 served as a powerful reminder that progress begins when young leaders dare to innovate and serve. As ISDA Kauswagan moves forward, the organization calls on every youth leader to carry the light of service, embracing the challenge to lead with purpose and compassion.
