The Soroptimist International of Pines City was conceived by several women; women with impeccable personality full of resources, sensitive to the needs and welfare of women and girls in the home, the community, in business and the country. These were women who aspire and inspire a wholesome relationship “in and out” of their spheres. The women involved in the prestigious Club were women who genero
usly contribute their time, talent, and treasure. All are professionals in their own right (women in education, in business, in government). These are women who hold offices who pool their efforts together towards successful ventures. Soroptimist International of Pines City has been involved in various activities since its chartering in 1997. These activities were done together with government and religious communities : the Alay sa Kalinisan, Beautification and Tree Planting Movement, Anti-Smoke Belching, Green Initiative, Save Mother Earth Movement, among others. The Club has embarked on its nutrition and feeding programs, leadership training, Adopt A Barangay and Adopt A School projects. Full support to all Soroptimist International Philippines Region Programs were and continue to be given: search for the Violet Richardson, Unsung Heroes, and Women Opportunity Awards. The SIPC Club was founded by women who shared a big dream; women with big hearts for the welfare of women and girls particularly those in Baguio City.
