On August 6โ7, 2026, SEAnag Silangan, represented by its two co-founders, participated in ๐๐๐๐๐: ๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ญ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐
๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ค at the Mangrove Protection Information Center in Del Carmen, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.
Organized by Add Peace Mindanao, Inc. (APMI) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Del Carmen, the program featured the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and a shared commitment to coastal stewardship. Participants also joined environmental briefings, community engagement, and mangrove planting activities.
We sincerely thank APMI, headed by Ms. Jai Cawa, the LGU of Del Carmen, Mayor Alfredo M. Coro II, MENRO, Ms. Gina M. Barquilla and her team, the Del Carmen fisherfolk, and everyone who made this meaningful experience possible.
For SEAnag Silangan, LAWIG was a meaningful step in our journey as a young environmental organization. It deepened our understanding of community-led conservation and inspired us to continue creating opportunities for young people to learn, serve, and take an active role in protecting our coastal and mangrove ecosystems. ๐ฑ
