Mutya Sin’ing Baganga

Mutya Sin’ing Baganga (formerly Mutya ng Baganga) is an annual local beauty pageant in the Province of Davao Oriental.

The Mutya Sin’ing Baganga is more than about beauty pageants; it is a culture, a lifestyle, and an advocacy that celebrates the true beauty of a Bagangeña.

Beauty pageants are placed on a different pedestal in the Philippines. Very much like any other prestigious event, we round up a village of passionate minds who share a goal of raising winners. This is the culture of the Mutya Sin’ing Baganga that brings to life the epitome of elegant and modern-day queens and are also given recognition as the Queen of the town.

More than a local celebration, the Mutya promotes “Beauty Tourism” within the Municipality and the Province as a whole, putting the beauty of Bagangeñas on a provincial/national spotlight. Inspired by its guiding thrust to assist in promoting Tourism, Social Responsibility, Fashion, Beauty and Women empowerment.

The Organization engages its business in worthwhile endeavors that promotes Baganga as a major and revered tourism destination.

Over the years, selected Agency and Organizations as well have been formidable partners of Mutya ng Baganga. These includes: Liga ng mga Barangay North and South, DPWH, DENR, Baganga North and South Districts- DepEd Baganga, Business Sector, LGU and many more. Delegates are selected and sent to participate in the annual pageant event.

With the evolving definition of beauty, the Organization advocates a strong sense of self-love for oneself and one’s roots. We promote body positivity towards the youth, to uphold pride of our origin being a proud Mandaya, and lastly, to harness authenticity and gratitude all throughout personal growth. It was then last year when the organization made history for presenting the complete set of candidates representing the the 18 barangays of this municipality. The legacy was successfully made possible through the support of our LGU Officials headed by the Hon. Mayor Arturo C. Monday, and his council, together with the cooperation of the 18 active and dynamic Barangay Captains headed by the ABC President Hon. Andy Monday, the Province of Davao Oriental, Baganga Tourism Office and in partnership with the Brilliant Mind Productions.

Dedicated to continue the ongoing legacy of a modern Bagangeña , the Organization represents the overall lifestyle of beauty pageants in its finest form. We are devoted to empower young women, inculcate values of what makes a true beauty queen, and influence generations to come to echo a voice for change locally and internationally and to inspire the next generation to love the Municipality and be proud of our origin, the Mandaya Tribe.
