Happy Earth Eco Pop-Up, an eco-conscious pop-up market, celebrated World Bee Day today at the Camalig Square in Angeles City.

The first day of the two-day weekend event on May 16 and 17, 2026, featured a storytelling session for kids titled "Busy Little Bees" narrated by Makiramdam while Professor Lala Cabral conducted a fun and informative lecture on the "Importance of Bees in our Ecosystem".

The second day, May 17, will start at 1:00PM. At 2:00 PM, Andrew Tiglao of Nature's Joy Apiary Bee Farm will talk "On Bees and Honey".

The event also features a bazaar where local merchants and environmental advocates gathered to sell eco-friendly products such as fruits, plants, pastries, drinks, bags and accessories.

The pop-up market supports ARAW-ACI's advocacy for the Angeles City watershed by accepting pledges to adopt a tree at โ‚ฑ300 which will be planted at the watershed.

The event also supports the Alaya Womenโ€™s Center, a resource center who dedicated to supporting exploited and abused women and the LGBTQ+ community, through a clothes donation drive.

It was organized by Lila Jose-Baquet, Bettina Pangilinan Arriola, and the Alaya Women's Center.

The activity, known as the Abacan River Sustainable Clean-up Program, is spearheaded by the Balibago Waterworks and is contiuously being conducted every third Saturday of every month.

New groups that joined the activity this month include the IMA Foundation, the Angeles City Veterinary Office, and the Barangay Anunas LGU while partners present were the MACCII, the Nagkakaisang Guardians, Soliman EC, the Philippine College of Criminology, and ARAW-ACI.

The Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Angeles City Chapter (PAFP) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Abacan River and Angeles Watershed Advocacy Council, Inc. (ARAW-ACI) adopting a five-hectare lot in Sitio Calapi, Barangay Marcos Village, Mabalacat City, Pampanga today, May 16, 2026.

The PAFP will plant 5,000 trees in the three-year duration of the agreement as part of its commitment to reforestation and environmental conservation that coincides with the celebration of World Family Doctors' Day on May 19, 2026.

ARAW-ACI President Abe Tayag, PAFP President Dr. Ethel Reyes, KAAPKA President Henry Pan, and land owner and steward Pastor Roldan Serrano signed the MOA at the site and conducted a tree-planting activity later.

The PAFP planted an initial 170 fruit-bearing trees at the site and donated grocery packs to the land stewards.

Supporting the event were members of the Organisasyon dareng Medecial Representative ning Angeles (OMRA) headed by Christine Grace Reyes together with ARAW officers Vice-President Sonny Dobles and Directors Erlin M. Due and Ar. Alex Ocampo.

The Abacan River and Angeles Watershed Advocacy Council, Inc. (ARAW-ACI) and the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) Angeles City Chapter joined forces to bring medical services to residents of Sitio Martin, Barangay Sto. Niรฑo, Bamban, Tarlac on May 9, 2026.

Over 250 residents benefited from the medical mission, which offered free consultations, check-ups, medicines and rice.

The event was attended by ARAW-ACI President Abe Tayag, Vice-President Sonny Dobles, Directors Erlin Due and Ar. Alex Ocampo and PAFP President Dr. Ethel Reyes and officials.

The event was made possible with the assistance of the dedicated team of volunteer doctors which includes Drs. Rocelli Manalo, Helmy Alfonso, Joy Ocampo, Jonas Ocampo, Menchi Dobles, Perla Garcia, Erlyne Fausto, Kayla Perez, Colleen Alonsa, Jaime Lorenzo Quiambao, Christine Mercado, Raquel Ramirez, Nomar Caranto, Aris Nalo, Shanon Guevarra and Dr. Veredigna Santos.

The medical mission was supported by the Organisasyon da reng Medical Representatives ning Angeles (OMRA) and pharmaceutical companies, which donated medicines and resources with additional donations from UNILAB and ARAW-ACI Director Jumbo Tayag.

San Martin officials led by Sto. Niรฑo Barangay Captain Dondon Maristela, San Martin Elementary School Principal Vernon Maristela, Chieftain Willie Navarro, Kagawad Maritess Miclat and Oscar Dizon also played a crucial role in making the event a success.

The event is part of ARAW-ACI's and PAFP's ongoing efforts to promote healthcare and wellness in underserved communities.

(ARAW-ACI) and the Alaya Women's Center organized a Happy Earth Eco Pop-Up event on April 26, 2026 at the Camalig Square along Sto. Rosario Street in Angeles City in celebration of Earth Day 2026.

The Happy Earth Eco Pop-Up featured a storytelling activity of the book "Water, Trees and Me" by Makiramdam, a talk on "The History of Camalig" by Marc Nepomuceno, the owner of the iconic restaurant, a food demo by yoga practitioner and health advocate Lacsmi Gonzales, an ARAW-ACI presentation by Vice-President Sonny Dobles, and an eco-friendly market.

Also present were ARAW-ACI Directors Erlin Due and Jumbo Tayag, Philippine Academy of Family Physicians-Pampanga Chapter Comelec Dr. Menchie Dobles, Pamintuan Mansion Administrator and Museum Curator Bettina Arriola and Alaya Women's Center's representatives Lila Jose-Baquet and Christine Gudoy.

The event was held to support the watershed project in Sapangbato headed by ARAW-ACI and to promote awareness about taking care of the planet among people.

ARAW-ACI Vice-President Sonny Dobles attended the Provincial Development Council (PDC) Special Meeting at the Pampanga Provincial Capitol in the City of San Fernando today, 27 April 2026. Pampanga Vice-Governor Dennis โ€œDeltaโ€ Pineda presided over the meeting at the SP Session Hall which was attended by the mayors of the different towns and cities of Pampanga, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) officials, Non-Government Organizations and stakeholders to discuss pressing issues affecting the province.

๐Ž๐๐„ ๐†๐Ž๐€๐‹ ๐…๐Ž๐‘ ๐Œ๐Ž๐“๐‡๐„๐‘ ๐„๐€๐‘๐“๐‡. ARAW-ACI joined the Balibago Waterworks Systems, Inc. (BWSI) for an art exhibit in celebration of Earth Day on April 23, 2026 at the Balibago Waterworks Maligaya Head Office in Angeles City.

The exhibit with a theme: "IF NOT US, THEN WHO?" is a visual call to action and reminder of our responsibility to protect our planet.

The event was graced by National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Assistant Secretary for Visual Arts Norman Tiotuico, BWSI President Criselle Alejandro, ARAW-ACI Vice-President Sonny Dobles and Director Jumbo Tayag.

Displayed at the exhibit are artworks by Tiotuico, Badet Tiotuico, Edille Paras, Long Melo, Mini Zamora-Arceo, Heidy Macabenta, Camille Pingul, Johnny Guarin, Ten Pagalunan, Mikaela Uclaray, and Erlin M. Due.

The exhibit runs until May 22, 2026 at the BWSI Head Office.

ARAW-ACI officials met with long-time partner, the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians-Pampanga Chapter, at ARAW office on Monday, April 20, to discuss the holding of a medical mission and tree-planting activity this May.

In attendance were PAFP-Pampanga Chapter President Dr. Ethel Reyes, Past President Dr. Nomar Caranto, Assistant Treasurer Dr. Kayla Mallari Perez, Board of Trustees member Dr. Rocelli T.
