Protecting Business Opportunities for Papua New Guineans
The PNG MSME Council has submitted its Phase 1 Position Paper on the proposed Reserved Activities Regulation to the Investment Promotion Authority.
This is an important step toward ensuring that reserved and restricted business activities are properly designed, clearly enforced, and aligned with PNG’s national interest.
Now we want to hear from our members.
The Council will soon prepare its Phase 2 submission, which will propose specific business activities that should be reserved or restricted for Papua New Guinean-owned MSMEs.
As part of this process, the Council will consult economic sector by economic sector to ensure members across different industries have the opportunity to contribute their views and priorities.
We encourage all members to take part in the consultation and share which sectors and activities should be protected to strengthen local ownership, grow PNG businesses, and create more opportunities for our people.
Together, we can help shape a stronger and more inclusive MSME sector for Papua New Guinea.
Take part in the consultation and share your views on which sectors and activities should be protected to strengthen local ownership, grow PNG businesses, and create more opportunities for our people.
