The World Vision International family is commemorating our Day of Prayer today.

It’s a day where we join in prayer, thanking God for His faithfulness, guidance, and strength. We offer our thanks for the wisdom and direction He provides in the work we do, and for the strength He gives us to continue serving vulnerable children, families, and communities each day.

As a Christian organisation, our faith inspires us to serve with love, compassion, and hope, reflecting God's heart for the most vulnerable.

We continue to pray for peace, protection, and a brighter future for every child, trusting in God's guidance as we carry out acts of service in the new financial year.

The Partnership for Improving Education (PIE) Program is transforming education across Abau District, Central province.

Where distance and challenges once limited opportunities, teachers are being empowered, classrooms are improving, and inclusive learning is becoming a reality for every child.

Meet Ruthie, through WVPNG’s Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) -Sapotim Strongpela Meri Project, she manages around 1,000 chickens, supplies poultry products across the region, and employs local mothers to support their families.

What started as a small poultry business in Kurai Village has grown into a thriving enterprise that is creating opportunities for women and strengthening livelihoods across Central Bougainville.

Funded by the European Union, Ruthie’s story shows how empowering one woman can create lasting change for an entire community.

CIRCAR Project Advances Nature-Based Solutions Along the Wau-Bulolo Highway 📍

WVPNG’S Climate Infrastructure for Resilient Coastline and Riverbank (CIRCAR) Project continues to implement sustainable measures to reduce erosion, strengthen riverbank stability and build climate resilience in Morobe Province.

With funding support from the Australian Government through Live and Learn recently, over 30, 000 slips of vetiver grass were planted along Markham Bridge Riverbank and Oomsis Riverbank in the Huon Gulf District. The vetiver grass was planted to control soil erosion for riverbank stabilization and protects the nearby communities from the impacts of flooding, water pollution and land degradation.

Together with our key partners, we are promoting environmentally sustainable solutions to climate challenges to safeguard communities and critical transport infrastructures that link our people to essential services.
