📣 Have Your Say – Wellbeing of Older People in Our Community
A group of local health, social service, community, and wellbeing practitioners have come together because we care deeply about strengthening wellbeing, connection, and support for older people in our community.
Although we have yet to secure funding, the conversations have continued because we believe this is an important issue, and that by working together we can better understand the challenges, strengths, and opportunities that people are observing in relation to the wellbeing of older people in our community.
We know that many older people experience challenges such as loneliness, grief, declining health, loss of independence, financial pressures, and social disconnection. We also recognise that people who work with, support, or regularly interact with older people hold valuable observations and insights about the challenges, strengths, and opportunities that exist within our community.
This short survey is designed for people and organisations who work with, support, or regularly interact with older people. It asks about:
✔ recognising and responding to distress
✔ barriers to support and connection
✔ challenges affecting older people's wellbeing
✔ what people are seeing that helps older people remain connected, supported, and valued
✔ ideas for strengthening support and prevention in our community
Your insights will help build a fuller local picture and inform future conversations, initiatives, and collaborative action.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and share it with others who work with or support older people.
The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 3 minutes to complete.
