Thursday Thanks: Home & Garden Shows

Last week, attendees at the Home and Garden show in Auckland attempted to sink a hole in one down the stands at Eden Park. A donation to UpsideDowns got them a shot at some amazing prizes.

The eager putters raised $632 during the four-day event, which goes directly to funding speech and language therapy for Kiwi kids with Down syndrome. A massive thank you to everyone who took a swing, and to the Home and Garden Show team for putting it all together ❤

Auckland members! Head to the Māngere Bridge Plunket Hub tomorrow morning for a chance to meet the local fire crew, as part of the Māngere Neurodiverse Playgroup 🚒

The free playgroup runs every Friday (usually without the firetruck), and is an inclusive, supportive space for neurodiverse families to meet up, with educational toys and sensory-friendly activities for the kids.

If you're in Auckland this month, don't miss The Village of Twelve Nights, starring these superstar UpsideDowns members 😍

The Village of Twelve Nights is Glass Ceiling Arts Collective's original play with music created and performed by an all-disabled cast. The story follows a village preparing for a royal coronation, until the animals leave in protest, turning celebration into chaos and leading the community towards understanding and coexistence.
