πŸ”΅ Empowering Survivors of Domestic Violence Through Education! πŸ”΅

Domestic violence is an issue that affects countless lives, leaving survivors with emotional scars and often hindering their ability to pursue their dreams.

πŸŽ“ Education is a powerful tool that can help survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives and create a brighter future.

πŸ’Ό RAISE UP Foundation is dedicated to providing survivors with scholarships and resources to access higher education. These scholarships can be life-changing, offering survivors the chance to regain control of their lives and build a promising future.

πŸ™ Please consider contributing to this cause by donating to RAISE UP Foundation to help us work towards this mission. Your support will directly impact survivors and help them access the education they deserve.

πŸ’‘ Together, we can break the cycle of violence and empower survivors to achieve their academic and career goals. Education is not just a means to acquire knowledge; it's a path to healing, growth, and self-empowerment.

If you're interested in making a donation or learning more about how you can help survivors of domestic violence access higher education, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly.

Let's support survivors in their journey to brighter futures through education! πŸ“šπŸ’ͺ

RAISE UP Foundation is looking for funding to provide scholarships and mentoring in 2024 to survivors of domestic violence. We want to help break the cycle of domestic violence.

New Zealand has some of the worst statistics in the OECD for domestic violence. Statistics show that people who have already been victims of domestic violence are 50% more likely to be victims again in the future. There is a lot of support for survivors of domestic violence straight after they have been through a horrific experience but there are no opportunities available to help support them to change their circumstances. Often survivors of domestic violence feel as though their only option is to go back into another situation of domestic violence for financial stability.

We want to support survivors of domestic violence to earn tertiary qualification and be in a better financial situation as statistics show that people who are studying or who are working are less likely to be in relationships of domestic violence.

Please help us by donating, every little bit helps! You can also help us by sharing this link to your networks so that more people are aware of the awesome work we are trying to achieve at RAISE UP Foundation.

Ensuring survivors of domestic violence are empowered to have better life outcomes.

Welcome to the RAISE UP Foundation NZ page. Our vision is to ensure that survivors of domestic violence are empowered to have better life outcomes. Our mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence through opportunities of higher education, mentoring and networking.

We work alongside survivors of domestic violence through their tertiary education journey and support them into their first job. RAISE UP Foundation scholarship recipients receive a full scholarship towards completing a level 7 tertiary qualification. This is paid over 3 years for full time study. They also receive up to $1000 each year for course related costs.

Scholarship recipients are also paired with a mentor, who has previously completed a tertiary degree, to support them through their education journey. Scholarship recipient graduates are supported into their first jobs with CV and cover letter development and interviewing skills.
