The pool will be CLOSING after Taranaki anniversary.
Let’s hope for good weather over the weekend to get those last swims in before we close the pool. The temperature has dropped after a bit of a ho hum summer and it’s time to close the pool.
Pass the message along to anyone you know who uses it and needs to know. The gate will be locked from Tuesday for safety.
A huge thanks to Marg Hamilton for her hard work managing the pool all summer.

Fingers, toes and everything crossed the replacement hay is down and should be baled Monday. 🤞
A big thanks to Sam Bishop for coming to the rescue when the domains hay was rained on & ruined.
He sorted that into sileage rounds and is replacing them with hay from his farm.
If all goes to plan it should be baled Monday and as always any help to pick up and help deliver to our community is greatly appreciated.

A polite request to users of the pool and domain to please enjoy the facilities without causing damage or work for our amazing volunteers.
As many of you know a huge amount of voluntary work went into upgrading the water supply lat year so that we would have clean water to keep the pool topped up through the summer.
Unfortunately some vandalism occurred earlier in the summer resulting in the new water tank being emptied. We were at the point of having to either close the pool or purchase water, thankfully we had unseasonal rain just in time.
The old concrete water tank has now got extensive, unrepairable cracks and only holds a small amount of water at the bottom. This supplies the toilets and stock water troughs.
Please avoid climbing on the tanks and pipes which supply them, and please leave any taps/levers alone.
Much appreciated, Rachael

Well the weather has intervened so no baling Tuesday. We’ll update you once the weather plays ball.
Hay update- at this stage it looks like we are planning to bake and pick up bales off the paddock Tuesday afternoon. This could change if the weather goes against us though. 🤞🤞🤞

Hi all
It’s Hay making time again. Our main fundraiser for the year to operate the pool and maintain and manage the domain.
Please contact me to let me know if you are interested in purchasing hay and how many bales you are keen on. Bales will be $12 from the paddock. We will divide up the bales between everyone on the day once we know the final tally.
We are mowing tomorrow so should be baling mid week. All volunteers to help pick up and deliver gratefully accepted especially as it will be a weekday.
We had great community support last year to pick up and deliver bales to those in the community buying them which was amazing, we had them up and stored away in no time at all thanks to such a great team of volunteers.
A big thank you to Sam Bishop for offering to mow and tedder the hay and Murray Jackson for kindly offering to bale it.
Drop me an e-mail or ring/txt me on 027 6660889.
Cheers
Rachael- Secretary.
