📻 Did you hear Jessy on More FM Taranaki 93.2 this morning?

Jessy was chatting about Stratford Parents Centre and the reality we’re facing — we’ve been told we need to vacate our current building by January 2027, and we’re working hard to find a new home for our centre.

Jessy has been part of the centre for 8 years, with all three of her children coming through too. 💛

💜 A little thank you from Dunk It for Plunket 💜

We have received our mug for reaching $250 and tea towel for reaching $500 — and because it was Double Day, we received two tea towels.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, bought something from our bake sale, came along to our events, shared our posts, or supported us in any way.

Together, we raised an amazing $500.20, reaching our goal and helping support the incredible work Plunket does for pēpi, tamariki and whānau.

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing community. 💜

It is with great sadness that we are having to write this but Stratford Parents Centre has been given notice to vacate our premises.

Unfortunately we were not given the opportunity to purchase the building we are in now.

We are calling out a plee to our community for a new premise to lease or an investor to purchase a more permanent premises.

We have untill January 2027 to vacate. Which means unfortunately if we cannot find a new location Stratford Parents Centre will have to close its doors.

📸 Weeks 9 & 10 Photos of the Week

What an amazing couple of weeks we’ve had at playgroup! 💜 We’ve been busy getting creative, having lots of fun and making some special memories together.

Over the past two weeks we’ve enjoyed:
🖌 Getting creative with painting
🍪 Decorating cookies with our tamariki for our bake sale
☕️Having our little Dunk It for Plunket high tea
🎨Getting messy and having fun with bubble wrap painting

It’s been lovely seeing everyone getting involved, trying new activities and enjoying time together at playgroup. There have been plenty of smiles, creativity and a few tasty treats along the way. 💜

🫖 What’s Happening at Playgroup This Week? 🎨

We have some fun activities planned at Stratford Parents Centre this week.

🫖 Tuesday – Dunk It for Plunket High Tea
📅 Tuesday 22nd September
⏰ 9:30am–12pm

Come along for a special little High Tea for our tamariki as part of Official Dunk It Day.

The children can enjoy:
🧁 Cupcakes
🍬 Homemade marshmallows with Fruit Loops and M&Ms
🥪 Little sandwiches
🍪 Biscuits and crackers from the Dunk It box

We’ll have little teacups and saucers for the children to enjoy their High Tea. If your little one isn’t drinking from a cup yet, please bring along their sippy cup.

👗 Kids are welcome to dress up in their best High Tea outfit if they’d like!

💰 Gold coin donation if you’re able, with all proceeds going to Plunket.

🎨 Thursday – Bubble Wrap Art
Get creative with some fun bubble wrap art at playgroup! We’ll be exploring textures and colours while making some fun artwork.
