Anna Cunningham joins us in the studio to chat about this weekend's ceilidh, returning by popular demand after a packed house at the Raglan Folk Festival.

Expect live music from West of the Divvy, easy-to-learn dances led by Fiona Murdoch from Dance Folkus, a shared soup lunch and plenty of laughs. No experience required - just bring your whānau and join in.

Rangi Kereopa joins us on Raglan Community Radio ahead of a new exhibition celebrating the traditional arts of raranga harakeke (flax weaving) and whakairo (carving).

Presented by Ringa mā Koha Koha o Te Kōpua-Whāingaroa (Nimble Hands Creating Beauty), the exhibition showcases the work of local weavers and carvers and offers visitors a chance to learn more about these enduring art forms.

Could Raglan and other communities lose its Community Board?

It's one of the questions being raised as councils across New Zealand consider the biggest local government reforms in decades.

The Government is asking councils to explore new structures, including options that could combine district and regional council functions into a single Waikato-wide unitary authority. Supporters say larger councils could be more efficient and reduce duplication. Others are concerned about what it could mean for local representation and decision-making.

Speaking on Raglan Community Radio, Waikato District Councillor Lisa Thomson said some reform models may not include community boards in their current form.
