Timebank Raglan

Timebank Raglan Community group focused on helping each other through time rather than money! Come join us? We're connecting people one hour at a time! How does it work?

TimeBank Raglan is a group of folks swapping skills, trading time, learning from each other and celebrating local talents in our neighborhood. You can earn time credits by helping out another Timebank member. You can then use your time credits to take advantage of the services offered by ANY other member!
1 hour = 1 credit. What can I offer and receive? The possibilities are limitless! Maybe you want someone to teach you another language, or walk your dog.. or maybe you’d like some company and help while you dig your garden. In return, you could have a skill to teach and share, like cooking or composting, or you could offer a listening ear. There are lots of ideas listed on the Timebank website, and you can ask your coordinator for help coming up with ideas of what you can give or receive. You can also pass your credits to another person who needs extra support, or to an organisation that relies on community assistance by donating to the “Community Chest.”

How do I join? Register online @ raglan.timebanks.org OR visit us at Whaingaroa Environment Centre (WEC). Then attend an orientation and you’re off!

Crafty Time was a hit! Over 55 kids and their caregivers joined us for an afternoon of poi making, collage, biscuit icing and lanterns. It was such a warm community vibe.
Huge thanks to our amazing 'It Takes a Village' Team and all the families, together we created special a special time.

The big takeaway? Raglan whānau love creative, family centred holiday activities. Timebank will keep building on this as part of our It Takes a Village' project.

We are so grateful for everyone who came along and made the day beautiful. You were all stars!

Thank you to Whāingaroa Environment Centre / Te Pokapū Taiao o Whāingaroa and Neighbours Aotearoa for supporting this event.
