Some busy weekends lately - last Sunday we hosted SO Marlborough for Have-a-go Athletics at Saxton track. Thanks SOM for coming over!
And the Sunday before was our swimming Have-a-go event at Wakefield school pool. Thanks again to SO Marlborough and thanks to SO Motueka, as well as our Nelson swimmers. Fabulous turnout and a lot of camaraderie 😊
We were also able to award the Nelson A relay team their gold medals won at National games last December 🥇

Great day out Saturday for our golf team at Rarangi for a ribbon day. Beautiful weather. Thanks to Special Olympics Marlborough for running the event. Thanks also to Bowaters for the use of their community van

Ten pin bowling starting Tuesday 10 February at 2.30pm
Bocce starting Thursday 12 February 4.30pm
Great turnouts this year for some of the sports already started:
Basketball Wednesdays 6pm
Golf Thursdays 2.30pm
Swimming Fridays 6pm (but not Waitangi Day)
Football Saturdays 10am

It’s been a couple of weeks since we returned from National Games in Christchurch but what a tremendous time we had - so many experiences and so much effort from our teams of athletes over 6 sports. Thanks to all the coaches and volunteers who helped make it happen! And thanks to funding from Nelson Freemasons, Rata Foundation and Lion Foundation
