Meet Deborah!

She says:

"Currently I’m on a personal journey of creative exploration in a playground of mixed media, modelling paste and resin - using watercolour and automatic writing. This fuels my passion to build the vision and philosophy behind South Star School by establishing a place to hold space for exploring, learning and shaping.

The ideas of breaking down rural barriers of our community by opening doors and opportunities to participate in self-expansion and well-being which nourishes the individual and strengthens the health of the whole community. "

Deborah is a powerhouse of creativity and energy and is part of this big picture, making things happen!

Meet our vintage creative cousins.

A bookbinding press and paper cutter that has seen many a day, working hard, creating content the old fashioned way. If you feel a bit analogue some days and feel drawn to the movement, the sound and the raw feel of creating with paper and with word, creating with texture and all of your senses, these are the heavy lifters to catapult you into a hand making paradise.

Thank you to friend of the School... Janet Atkinson for making a kind donation of heavy local history. We will use it well. We will create content - that looks, feels and smells good!

FINALLY! The day has arrived! The winner of the raffle fundraiser will be announced Friday March 6th at 5pm. The lucky winner will spend 2 nights in Queenstown, with all the trimmings worth $4,000!

Thanks so much to Azur Lodge for giving us a generous boost in our fundraising to restore the heritage listed former Kurow School! This will allow us to create a purpose built and purposeful home for our Center for Creativity!

THANKS to everyone who has purchased a ticket. Many dollar bills stack up quickly and because of your contribution, it has been a fun and exciting way to raise restoration funds! We could not have done it without you!
