Congratulations to Victoria Grant and Shania-Rose Blackler ππ€for achieving their Grand Priorβs award, presented to them by Marie Wilkinson Commander of the Order of St John, in front of their fellow cadets in Gore last week. In August both will travel to Dunedin to have the award officially presented by the Chancellor.
The Grand Priorβs award is presented to cadets after many hours of hard work and dedication to Hato Hone St John π«Ά and the community. To receive a Grand Priorβs award a cadet must be proficient to a high level in Drill and Ceremonies, Hauroa, Healthcare, Life Skills, Knowledge of St John plus 5 more Gold badges of their choice. They must also be competent in First Aid, up to Level 2 and have completed 100 community service hours β
Presentation of this award is very special as it is the highest award, other than for bravery, that St John can bestow on its cadets.
