We are excited to announce the return of the Manu Comp - with a twist! E kā tino toki o te MANU, tarika pīkari mai ki tēnei karere 🌊
We have partnered with the Z Manu World Champs - Which means, the Manu Comp will run a little differently this year!
Winners of each catergory will be eligible to compete in the ‘Z Manu World Champs Finals' in the Auckland CBD - All-expenses-paid.

The Z Manu World Champs is the world's largest bombing event with qualifiers across 10 cities culminating in a Grand Final in the Auckland CBD.
The aim for us at Te Pae Māhuri (The Dunedin Māori Youth Council) and He Waka Kōtuia Trust, is to celebrate and uplift our community in any way we can. The Manu Comp is one way to bring people together, to connect and participate in a fun, one day event.
What to expect:
There will be live performances throughout the day, kai stalls, as well as Cash Prizes ! In addition to the Z Manu World Champs, we welcome sponsors such as Burger King NZ, Tip Top NZ and Snickers. Oranga Saunas will also be onsite for all contestants to keep warm out of the water.
Classic Manu Divisions; Kids, Youth, Adult, Freestyle.
• Manu Tamariki / Kids : 8–12 years.
• Manu Rangatahi / Youth : 13–17 years.
• Manu Pakeke / Adult : 18 years and older.
• Manu Taera / Freestyle : This division is open to everyone, with no age limit.
