Rederij Lampedusa vaart met een internationale crew en vloot door Hollandse wateren. Vaar mee en ontdek de kracht van migratie.

Rederij Lampedusa is een ontmoetingsplek, podium, leerplek, collectief integratietraject en een statement: de omkering. Kapiteins en gidsen met roots in o.a. Syrië, Somalië, Eritrea en Egypte, nemen je mee door Amsterdam. Dit terwijl je zit op een kleurrijke houten boot die ooit vluchtelingen over de Middellandse Zee vervoerde. De Lampedusa-crew toont een ander Amsterdam én vertelt over de enorme

bijdrage van migranten aan het succes van de stad, door de eeuwen heen. Daarmee laten we zien dat immigratie een meerwaarde is voor de maatschappij in het verleden, heden en de toekomst. Onze vloot bestaat uit Noord-Afrikaanse boten waarmee vluchtelingen de overtocht naar Lampedusa, Europa hebben gemaakt. De boten zijn bij hoge uitzondering geschonken door de Italiaanse autoriteiten en naar Amsterdam verscheept. A week in the life of Rederij Lampedusa 🛟

And what a week it was! On Tuesday, we took advantage of the beautiful sunny days and took to the water for some new team pictures… Stay tuned for the results 🤭

Then on Wednesday we joined the Lomgest Table, an initiative of our cherishes partner .nl , which brought together over 1500 people (!!) to get to know each other, talk and eat together. A beautiful reminder that in Amsterdam, everyone is welcome 🤍

We’re grateful for our ever-expanding team, our partners, and everyone who keeps working on making this city friendly & exclusive 🛟🧡

Here’s what she said about this song: “ For me, this song is about the fact that even when we are not together there is always a connection between us, something alive will remain between us that will not disappear. The song becomes a space for two people to meet.. and there are also such words «because in the spring I will return to you, my dear» so I am waiting for that spring, when there will be victory and I will be able to return or at least come home to my hometown Donetsk, Ukraine.”
