Yes, our scholarships are a huge part of what we do at WAAW, but our real superpower is what happens on the ground.

Through 133+ active university chapters, we’ve reached over 72,752+ girls across Africa with hands-on coding, robotics, and practical science outreaches, led by an organization governed by 80% women since day one.

Girls want STEM. The question is whether we’re building an environment that allows that interest to become opportunity.

Our Baseline Survey went directly to girls in secondary schools across the FCT to understand their experiences, aspirations, and the barriers standing between them and STEM.

89% said they want to pursue STEM at tertiary level.

The interest is there. Now, we need to build the pathways.
