Big plans need committed people. And meaningful change begins when we choose to work together.

At EsteemHub , every step towards stronger communities starts with a shared vision and people who are ready to make that vision a reality.

On Saturday, 10 October 2026, our team came together for an Extraordinary to reflect on lessons from our 2026 Abuja , discuss what lies ahead for the remaining months of the year, and begin shaping our priorities for 2027.

We also welcomed new volunteers into the team and had the opportunity to reconnect, share ideas, and strengthen our commitment to the work ahead.

One thing made us especially hopeful: eleven volunteers reaffirmed their commitment to remain active and contribute to the growth of the Foundation.

For us, this is what teamwork looks like: people coming together, taking responsibility, and choosing to be part of something bigger than themselves.

There is still work to do, and we are ready to keep moving forward, building resilient communities, advancing justice, and restoring dignity where it matters most.

To every volunteer who continues to show up and contribute, thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can do more.

Disasters can destroy homes, disrupt livelihoods and put lives at risk. But being prepared can make all the difference.

From floods to other climate-related hazards, communities need timely warnings, practical information and the resources to respond effectively. Because when people are informed and prepared, they are better equipped to protect themselves, their families and their communities.

At Esteemed Hub Foundation, we believe that disaster preparedness starts with awareness, grows through collective action and strengthens community resilience. We must act before disaster strikes, not wait until lives and livelihoods are already at risk.

Child marriage threatens these rights and can close doors that should never have been shut.

Not every smile tells the whole story.

Some people are good at showing up for everyone else, even when they are struggling to show up for themselves. They laugh, work, care for others, and keep going, hoping nobody notices how heavy things have become.

But who checks on the person who always says, “I'm fine”?

This World Mental Health Day, let's remember that mental health is just as important as physical health. Behind the smiles, the achievements, and the everyday routines, people may be carrying things they find difficult to talk about.

At Esteemed Hub Foundation, we believe everyone deserves to be heard, supported, and treated with compassion, without fear of judgment or stigma.

Give yourself permission to rest.
Check on the people you love.
Listen without rushing to judge or offer solutions.
Remember that asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness.

You don't have to wait until everything falls apart before you deserve support.

Let's build a world where it's okay to say, “I'm not okay,” and safe to ask for help.

Effective climate action requires strong laws, informed institutions and the capacity to turn commitments into action.

At EsteemHub ( ), we recognise that building resilient communities goes beyond awareness and good intentions. It also requires an understanding of the policies, legal frameworks and governance systems that shape climate action and determine how communities are protected.

In July 2026, our Executive Director, Princess Doo Agbadu , participated in the five-day Pre-COP Legal Training organised for the Nigeria Climate Change Legal Working Group. The training strengthened participants’ understanding of Nigeria’s climate commitments, climate negotiations and the implementation of the Climate Change Act, 2021.

Key areas covered included the UNFCCC legal architecture, drafting and interpreting negotiation texts, domestic implementation of international climate commitments, climate litigation and accountability, technical review of Nigeria’s Climate Change Act, and strengthening the governance of the Legal Working Group.

For EHF, this kind of capacity development is important to advancing climate action that is informed by evidence, supported by effective institutions and responsive to the realities of communities. Strong climate governance can help create the conditions needed for better accountability, more effective policies and stronger community resilience.

We appreciate the organisers and partners , Legal Response International, and ACF for supporting this important learning opportunity and strengthening engagement in climate law and governance in Nigeria.

For young people especially, being heard should go beyond being invited to conversations. Their experiences, ideas and perspectives should help shape decisions and solutions that affect their lives.
