We all talk about change… but what action have you taken?
It’s easy to complain about the system. Real impact begins when we step up and do something—no matter how small.
Let’s move from talk to action. Our communities need it.

We are excited to share highlights from our Youth Civic Education and Governance Workshop held across the five Southeast states—Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia, and Ebonyi—under the Youth to Action Project.
This initiative brought together vibrant young people committed to understanding governance, civic responsibility, and their role in shaping their communities. Through interactive sessions and meaningful conversations, participants gained practical knowledge and strengthened their capacity to drive positive change.
The passion and engagement we witnessed across all states were truly inspiring, reaffirming that young people are ready to take the lead in promoting accountability and good governance.
This is just the beginning. We will be returning to Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia, and Ebonyi for more impactful activities and continued engagement.
Stay connected with us—there’s more to come!

INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION

PRESS STATEMENT

RESUMPTION OF NATIONWIDE CONTINUOUS VOTER REGISTRATION (CVR) FOR FINAL PHASE

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wishes to inform the general public that the current nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will resume for its third and final phase on Monday, 11th May 2026.

It may be recalled that the second phase of the exercise was suspended on 17th April 2026 to allow the Commission clean up the register after its publication for claims and objections by registrants.

The third phase of the CVR, which begins on Monday, 11th May 2026, will end on Friday, 10th July 2026. During this period, eligible citizens who have attained the age of 18, as well as those who were unable to register during the earlier phases, should seize this opportunity to do so.

Similarly, registered voters who wish to transfer their registration, replace lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), or correct their biodata, are advised to access the Commission’s dedicated online portal at https://cvr.inecnigeria.org or visit INEC State and Local Government Area offices nationwide.

In continuation of the process, the Commission will display the Register of Voters for claims and objections from Thursday, 23rd July to Wednesday, 29th July 2026. This statutory exercise provides an important opportunity for citizens to scrutinise the register and assist the Commission in ensuring its accuracy, completeness and credibility.

The Commission reassures Nigerians that all necessary arrangements have been concluded for the smooth conduct of the exercise. We once again appeal to all eligible citizens to present themselves for registration and to play their part in strengthening the foundation of our electoral process.

Recap: Empowering Communities Through Action 💡
Throwback to one of our impactful moments in Imo State, where our Executive Director led a powerful session focused on community-driven change.
This wasn’t just a visit — it was a hands-on learning experience. From understanding the importance of active participation to breaking down how to engage in action projects, participants were equipped with practical knowledge to create real impact within their communities.
The session emphasized that change doesn’t start from afar — it begins with individuals who are willing to step forward, take responsibility, and collaborate for a better society.
Seeing the energy, curiosity, and commitment from everyone involved was truly inspiring. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.
We’re not just talking about change… we’re building it, one community at a time.

A 2-day consultative meeting on the review of the National Youth Policy was held in Southeast Nigeria, bringing together Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), State agencies for youth, and youth leaders from across the region.
The meeting created a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, where participants shared insights and practical ideas toward strengthening youth development in Nigeria.
The discussions focused on reviewing the policy within the current realities of the Southeast, identifying key gaps, and proposing inclusive and forward-looking recommendations that reflect the aspirations of young people.
This engagement highlights the importance of collective efforts in building policies that truly represent and empower the youth.
