SU Nigeria is an interdenominational Christian organization committed to reaching children and young people, nurturing them through Bible engagement to become committed Christians. THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT SCRIPTURE UNION NIGERIA

Working with the churches, Scripture Union aims to make God's good news known to children, young people, and families and to encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and prayer so that they may come to personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, grow in Christian maturity, and become both committed church members and servants of a world in need. Though Scripture Union entered the territory now called Nigeria since 1885, it was not until 9th October 1967 that Scripture Union Nigeria was registered as a voluntary and non-profit-making Christian organization. The National Council was established in 1966 with full powers to run the affairs of the Union, drawing membership from all over the Federal Republic of Nigeria. At present, the Union has an operational structure of a national headquarters that coordinates all the activities within the country through 10 regions and 37 areas.

Behind every number is a story. 🌍

120 countries.

Countless children, young people, families, volunteers and leaders.

Different cultures. Different contexts. Different stories.

But one shared desire β€” to help people connect with God through His Word.

A person can give their life to Christ in a moment, but growing in Christ is a journey.

That is why we are not just celebrating new converts, we are committed to helping them stand, grow, understand their faith, and become strong disciples of Jesus.

For 9 powerful weeks, we will walk through the foundations every believer needs, from The New Birth and Assurance of Salvation to Prayer, Fellowship, Temptation, the Holy Spirit, Witnessing, and Christian Stewardship.

If you are a new convert, or you know someone who is, this is for you. Don’t live a new life in Christ without the nurture it needs to grow. 🌱

πŸ“… Starts Monday, September 14
