Their childhood has taught us to be more empathetic, to see the world through new eyes, and to fill our hearts with love, compassion, and faith. ✨

Caring for our children means supporting them in every way: In their health, their emotions, and their overall well-being. 🩺

Our boys and girls have been visiting the dentist, because their smiles matter too. Every small act of care is a way to remind them that they are valuable, loved, and deserve to be well. 🥹

We love when teams and friends come visit Nana’s House. Every visit brings fresh perspective, new creativity, and encouragement to keep growing what God is doing here.
Yesterday I had a meeting with someone who will be helping us dream and plan for the Learning Center we are building. Our hope is that it won’t just help the children living at Nana’s House get caught up in school, but that it will also become a place where children and young adults in our neighborhood can come to learn, grow, and discover new opportunities.
We are excited about what’s ahead, and we would truly appreciate your prayers as we continue planning and building. If you feel led to be part of helping this vision grow, your encouragement, ideas, and support always mean so much to us. ❤️

Today we’re celebrating TWO very special birthdays at Nana’s House! 🎉🎂

At Nana’s House, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated — especially on their birthday. In a group home, children don’t always get to choose the things they want. But on their birthdays (and at Christmas), it’s all about them.

They get to pick out their own gifts, choose the kind of cake they want, and even decide what food we’ll have that day. It’s their moment to feel special, important, and loved. 💙

Yesterday we had an art class that is designed to to teach kids to accept themselves. They had to draw lines,or just draw a few circles or triangles.

Then they had to make anything they wanted from the basic figures they drew. They were not allowed criticize what they did. It was fun. The kids were so creative. We plan to use art as therapy all of 2026.
