📉 CPI 2025 is out and with it, questions are being asked and rightly so.

But before debating the results, it’s essential to understand what the CPI measures, how it works, and what it tells us about public sector corruption.

Watch our video to understand how the CPI works and why it matters for transparency and governance.

The Corruption Perceptions Index 2025 is out.

Mauritius’ score has dropped from 51 to 48, signalling a setback in the fight against public sector corruption.

Across the world, progress against corruption remains slow, weakening institutions and public trust at a time of growing global uncertainty. For Mauritius, this decline underscores the urgent need for stronger integrity systems, accountability, and political will.

Transparency is not optional it is essential to protect the public interest.

Starting 2026 with meaningful conversations on good governance.

We’re proud to have kickstarted the year with two awareness talks delivered by our Project Officer Gwendolyne and Senior Project Officer Hugo under our “Support to Good Governance” project funded by EU in Mauritius

These sessions focused on empowering young people with a better understanding of democracy, ethics, integrity, and the importance of fighting corruption.

A strong year ahead, driven by dialogue, awareness, and collective action. 💪

For Anti-Corruption Day 2025, we brought together voices from institutions, youth, and our own Transparency Mauritius team.

Their message is clear and powerful: corruption isn’t abstract it affects people, institutions, and the future of Mauritius.

Together, we must build a culture where transparency is the norm and integrity is the expectation.
Let’s continue pushing for accountability, fairness, and stronger governance.
