A lady came across this cute teddy bear on the side of the road next to her house while doing her morning footing. Someone dumped him because he is totally blind. He doesn't have eyes & no tail. How cruel is that? Dumping a blind baby who can't take care of himself. To the person who abandoned this baby, instead of dumping him you should have contacted someone to take him so that he can get the care that he needs. Fortunately he was was found by a caring lady who contacted us. We at Healing Hearts Animal Sanctuary will not turn a blind eye when it comes to cases like these & we will be taking care of this baby. We have named him Romy. If you would like to contribute for Romy we will be grateful. He seems to be in good health except for his sight.

We were contacted for this senior abused boy at Camp Fouquereaux. Some strays are living a better life than this poor dog. Despite him having an owner, he has been chained with a lock 24/7 for years, not cared for and not fed properly. His elderly owner said that he can't take care of him. He chained him on the road outside his house so that someone could take him away He just wants to get rid of him. His leg is injured & he's suffering from malnutrition. Thanks to a kind soul named Varden, who drove past there & saw him chained on the road, approached the owner & contacted us. We rescued him and will be caring for him. He deserves a better life. Please donate so that we can help him & others like him. We have named him Journey.

Great news, Rocky is doing really well. His owner sent me a video. I advised him to remove the chain & get him a collar. Thank you to 3 caring individuals that donated for Rocky. We are grateful.

Update 1/06/26- Rocky was taken to the vet again this afternoon. He is showing some signs of improvement. Please donate for his treatment. Yesterday's treatment was Rs 810 & today's is Rs 720. Only 1 kind person donated Rs 300 and another Rs 1000.
We were contacted to help this sick puppy. He is an owned puppy but his owner can't afford to pay for his treatment. We have taken him to the vet for his first treatment & he was diagnosed with gastro (parvovirus). He will need to go back tomorrow for treatment. Please contribute for Rocky so that he can get well quickly.

20/05/26- Unfortunately the puppy has passed away. Rest in peace sweet boy.
Update-Puppy is in a critical condition & in shock. He's infested with fleas.
We have rescued this puppy. He was found by a foreigner who is working in Goodlands. The puppy is extremely weak, unable to walk and seems to have problems with his eyes. We are taking him to the vet. Please contribute for his treatment.
