For the 190 million dogs, rabbits and other animals who suffer in experiments each year worldwide, the shift to non-animal test methods can’t come soon enough. 🐰➡️🧪

But at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency—and in Congress—the move to embrace alternatives that will deliver faster, more accurate scientific results is happening more quickly than ever. 💡🔬

She Licked His Hand While He Strapped On Her Poison Mask
The heartbreaking truth about a dog is that they will love you even while you are destroying them.

This is the grim reality inside Marshall BioResources. This massive breeding facility "trains" innocent, trusting Beagles to willingly wear inhalation masks, rendering them submissive so they can charge research laboratories a premium price to poison them.

While the historic shutdown of Ridglan Farms proved that these corporate giants can be stopped, the nightmare is far from over. Thousands of loyal, loving dogs remain trapped in these hidden hellholes right now, treated as nothing more than profitable, disposable test tubes.

A dog’s unconditional loyalty should never be weaponized for corporate greed. They look at their handlers with absolute trust, completely unaware of the horror awaiting them.

We forced Ridglan to close, now we must expose the rest. Share this to be the voice for the innocent souls trapped inside.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, a time to recognize the urgent need for better ways to understand and treat Alzheimer’s disease.

Through its partnership with IFER, NAVS helps support scientists developing innovative, human-relevant research methods that may improve how diseases like Alzheimer’s are studied, without relying on animal models.

One of those researchers is IFER Fellow Yuhao (Lauren) Gao at Emory University. Lauren is developing human brain organoid models to study the earliest stages of Alzheimer’s disease in one of the first brain regions affected by the condition.

Her path to this work was shaped not only by her passion for neuroscience, but also by her compassion for animals.

“I’m just a very compassionate person,” Lauren shared. “As much as I want to use science to help patients, I really hate hurting animals.”

Experimenting on animals does not help patients. We abuse the animals in ways we cannot imagine, and the results have mislead scientists and cost us effective treatments.
