💖 “कशी होऊ तुझ्यासारखी मी… सांग आई” 💖

𝗔 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿🌸✨

Students and their SuperMoms of Maratha Mandir Arts School, beautifully came together to present “Saang Aai”, a touching mother-daughter dance performance during the cultural programme “Maajhi Aai... Aani Mee”, organised by the Mauritius Marathi Cultural Centre Trust at Providence Marathi Mitra Mandal in celebration of Mother’s Day 2026 on Sunday 24th May 2026. 🌷

Through graceful movements, love-filled expressions, and emotional storytelling, mothers and daughters shared the stage as one — celebrating love, sacrifice, strength, and the priceless bond that words can hardly describe ❤️👩‍👧

A beautiful reminder that no matter how much we grow, “Aai” will always remain our greatest inspiration. 🙏💫

Maratha Mandir was honoured to present this heartfelt performance celebrating the spirit of Maharashtra and paying tribute to the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during the Regional Level Celebration of Maharashtra & Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Day held on Sunday 24th May, organised by the Municipal Council of Vacoas-Phoenix & Marathi Cultural Circle Bhawani Mandir with the participation of various marathi associations of the vicinity. 🙏🚩

Through this powerful song, “कर्म हे, धर्म हे, मर्म माझे, माझा महाराष्ट्र”, we expressed our deep love, pride, and devotion to the rich culture, heritage, and values of Maharashtra. ❤️🟠

Relive an evening where history breathed, rhythm spoke, and every heartbeat echoed with pride.

In the context of Maharashtra Day, the artists of Maratha Mandir, Palma Marathi Sabha and Vithoba Rukmini Maratha Mandir presented “Swarajyachi Shapath” — a powerful dance ballet dedicated to the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Blending the thunder of Powada with the refined grace of Kathak, the performance unfolded like a living chronicle — from the divine birth of Shivaji Maharaj in Shivneri, symbolising hope and destiny, to the stirring Raireshwar Shapath, where the solemn oath of Swarajya came alive with intensity, unity, and unshakeable resolve.

The stage transformed into the fort of the Sahyadri, into battlefields of courage, and into sacred spaces of vision and sacrifice. Through evocative storytelling, powerful choreography, and soul-stirring music, our artists brought alive the valour, the sacrifice, and the indomitable spirit that shaped a nation’s dream.

From the strength in every stance to the precision of each rhythmic footwork, this was more than a performance — it was a living tribute. A reminder of a legacy built on courage, vision, and deep love for the people. An evening that moved hearts, ignited pride, and will be remembered long after the final bow.

A special mention to Shri Kunal Kale from Indira Gandhi Centre for Indian Culture for his powerful accompaniment on the tabla, adding depth and soul to the performance.

Welcoming the dawn of a new beginning 🌼✨
Maratha Mandir joyfully celebrated Gudhi Padwa, marking the arrival of the Parabhava Nama Samvatsara with deep devotion and traditional fervour.

Devotees gathered at the Mandir to perform the sacred Gudhi Poojan and Brahma Dev Poojan, followed by a spiritually enriching Yadnya. The air resonated with soulful Bhajans, creating an atmosphere of unity, peace, and divine energy.

Maratha Mandir proudly celebrates the state recognition of our esteemed Executive Member, Limbajee Bhiwajee, who has been honoured with the President's Meritorious Service Medal (PMSM).

A former Chief Arts Officer at the Ministry of Arts and Culture, Mr. Bhiwajee has dedicated his life to the development of arts and culture in Mauritius. Even after his retirement, his commitment remains unwavering. At Maratha Mandir, he continues to be a pillar of strength and guidance, actively contributing to our activities and artistic initiatives.

For decades, he has shaped and mentored generations of artists within the Marathi community and beyond, nurturing talent across the island through theatre and stage performance. His passion for the performing arts continues today through his work as a coach at the Maratha Mandir Arts School, where he patiently shares his knowledge, discipline, and love for the stage with emerging performers.

Mr. Bhiwajee’s dedication, humility, and selfless service make him a true backbone of our association and an inspiration to the wider artistic community of Mauritius.

Maratha Mandir extends its heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved recognition and wishes him continued strength and inspiration as he carries forward his invaluable mission of nurturing art and culture for future generations. 🎭✨
