President's Young Professionals Program - PYPP Building the Next Generation of Liberia's Leaders

Launched in 2009, the President’s Young Professionals Program (PYPP) is one of Liberia’s most competitive innovations for youth leadership development in Liberia's civil service. The PYPP recruits, trains, and prepares young promising, and talented Liberian college graduates for a future in public service. In the short term, PYPs provide additional support to the government and private sector inst

itutions by performing a variety of critical tasks as needed. The Organization's long term goal is to create the next generation of qualified professionals who are able and committed to working for the Government of Liberia (GoL), thereby increasing public sector capacity and contributing to good governance and strong leadership. The two-year fellowship includes a strong training and mentoring component, pairing each young professional with a Fellow or other mentor within the host-entity as well as offering a monthly professional training program, one-on-one training and evaluation, and a monthly stipend. The Organization's continued growth is marked by the investments of new donors and partners, ensuring its long term viability and establishment as Liberia’s premier civil service training initiative. The PYPP is currently a non-profit organization in a public-private partnership with the government of Liberia.

For months we've been cooking with a World Hope International. We are pleased to serve a dish of Disability Inclusion Training for President's Young Professionals and Staff. Today, we are hosting our first partnership training on Disability Awareness and Work Place Inclusion for Staff and PYPs.

Before then, Deputy Director Sadia Stubblefield attended the Disability Alliance meeting and shared PYPP recruitment procedures with the Alliance.

At the end of today's training, our emerging leaders and staff will have increased knowledge and a clear roadmap for applying inclusive principles within public and private sectors.

The training with continue with all of our professionals and Alumni overtime.
Sincere appreciation to World Hope International for this partnership.
