At WEEL, we believe that when women are healthy, families and communities rise.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're reminding every woman to:

âś… Know how your breasts normally look and feel
âś… Notice changes like a new lump, swelling, skin dimpling or ni**le changes
âś… Visit a health facility promptly if something feels different
âś… Ask a health worker about screening

A change doesn't always mean cancer, but checking early gives you the best chance.

Share this with the women you love, your mother, sister, aunty, friend and neighbour. Early detection saves lives. 🎀

Where Women Root, Communities Rise.

Our climate-resilient plants with the women in Belatana Town are thriving, thanks to the sustainable & agroecology practices that put people and planet first.

This is what partnership looks like: WEEL Liberia and ActionAid Liberia working hand in hand to build food security and climate resilience, one seedling at a time. Soil was tested, Land was prepared for planting, Farmers were engaged in learning about the climate-resilient plants, seeds, fertilizers & tools were provided & the seeds were planted & thank God for the rain season, the seeds are growing to the climate-resilient plants as intended.

Ready for the harvest!

Women Entrepreneurs Environmental Links (WEEL) was honored to be part of the two-day Women Human Rights Defenders Protection, Well-being, and Resilience Retreat. On Day 1, our team joined fellow Women Human Rights Defenders for meaningful learning, dialogue, and reflection on the state of women’s rights in Liberia. We also strengthened our understanding of key protection frameworks for Women Human Rights Defenders and reflected on the Network’s achievements, challenges, and vision for the future. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to solidarity, resilience, and collective action.

Day 2 of the Women Human Rights Defenders Protection, Well-being, and Resilience Retreat focused on strengthening resilience, safety, and collective action. Our team participated in team-building activities, engaged in discussions on trauma, burnout, self-care, and well-being, and strengthened our knowledge of personal and digital security for Women Human Rights Defenders. The retreat concluded with the adoption of key action points, reaffirming our shared commitment to protecting and empowering Women Human Rights Defenders across Liberia.

Day 2 was about structures, accountability, and sustainability - and WEEL Liberia was at the table. From coalition governance assessments to resource mobilization strategies, our participation reinforced the need for women’s leadership in shaping transparent, resilient systems that protect defenders and communities alike.

This engagement reflects WEEL’s vision: empowerment rooted in accountability, resilience built on justice, and futures secured by strong governance.
