Senior Citizens Forum (SCF) is a non-profit organization, established as a recent imitative by the White Beds Society (WBS) as part of its mandate and responsibility to serve the interest and well-being of senior citizens which it has assumed since 1970. Having consideration for the shifting pattern of the Jordanian society from the extended to the nuclear family type and believing care and suppor
t of senior citizens is as much a societal responsibility as it is the responsibility of the immediate family, WBS has expanded its services by establishing the SCF to cater for the interest and well-being of senior citizens within their own family and home settings. The main objective of the SCF is to provide a friendly and welcoming setting for senior citizens to meet, socialize and pass their free time fruitfully and enjoyably. The SCF offers a variety of social, cultural, artistic, and recreational programs that provide opportunity for senior citizen members to enjoy these activities, but equally important is the opportunity given to them to share their knowledge, experiences, and skills with the other groups of the community.
