حللت الدراسة 55,600 نقاش رقميفي دول الخليج، حققت أكثر من531 ألف تفاعل، وأظهرت أن 76.6% من النقاش حول الشراكة الأمنية مع واشنطن حمل موقفًا سلبيًا، مقابل 22.5% محتوى إخباري محايد، وأقل من 1%مؤيد.

وتطرح الدراسة سؤالًا مركزيًا: هل ما تزال الشراكة الأميركية ضمانة أمنية لدول الخليج، أم أن الوجود الأميركي بات مصدرًا إضافيًا للمخاطر في لحظات التصعيد؟

The Jordanian Politics and Society Magazine (JPS), published by the Politics and Society Institute, features a new analytical study on the impact of the American-Israeli-Iranian war on Gulf digital discourse toward relations with the United States.

The study analyzed 55,600 digital discussions across the Gulf, generating more than 531,000 interactions. It found that 76.6% of discourse on the U.S. security partnership carried a negative tone, compared with 22.5% neutral news-oriented content, and less than 1% supportive discourse.

The study raises a central question: does the U.S. partnership still provide a security guarantee for Gulf states, or has the American presence become an additional source of vulnerability during escalation?

The session featured H.E. Asari Hideki, Ambassador of Japan to Jordan, alongside a group of researchers, academics, and experts, to discuss prospects for the Jordanian-Japanese partnership and Jordan’s role in promoting regional stability.

🌐 شارك معهد السياسة والمجتمع في المؤتمر السنوي لشبكة يوروميسكو 2026، الذي عُقد في مدينة لارنكا/قبرص، تحت عنوان:
“الشراكات الاستراتيجية تحت الضغط: إعادة صياغة التعاون الأورو-متوسطي في عصر المنافسة العالمية”.

🗣️ ومثّلت المعهد المديرة التنفيذية الدكتورة رشا فتيان، حيث شاركت في اجتماعات الجمعية العامة لشبكة يوروميسكو، إلى جانب حضور عدد من الجلسات رفيعة المستوى التي ناقشت مستقبل التعاون الأورو-متوسطي في ظل تصاعد المنافسة الجيوسياسية، وتحولات التحالفات، والتحديات الأمنية والاقتصادية في أوروبا ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.

📄 وفي إطار مساهمة المعهد في المؤتمر، شارك الدكتور علي حجازي، مدير قسم الأبحاث في المعهد، في نقاشات المؤتمر، وقدّم ورقة بحثية بعنوان:
“الصدع عبر الأطلسي؟ حرب إيران ومستقبل التحالف الأمريكي–الأوروبي”.

🔎 وتناولت الورقة تداعيات الصراع المرتبط بإيران على العلاقات عبر الأطلسي، وانعكاساته على أنماط التنسيق بين الولايات المتحدة وأوروبا، إضافة إلى تأثير التوترات في البحر الأحمر والخليج على الأمن البحري الدولي وسلاسل التوريد وأسواق الطاقة.

🤝 ويأتي حضور المعهد في هذا المؤتمر في إطار التزامه بالمساهمة في الحوارات السياسية والبحثية الإقليمية والدولية، وتعزيز التعاون البحثي عبر منطقة المتوسط، ودعم النقاشات القائمة على الأدلة حول الأمن والحوكمة والصراع والتحولات الإقليمية.

🌐 The Politics and Society Institute (PSI) participated in the EuroMeSCo Annual Conference 2026, held in Larnaca, Cyprus, under the theme:
“Strategic Partnerships Under Stress: Remaking Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation in an Era of Global Competition.”

🗣️ PSI was represented by Dr. Rasha Fityan, who took part in the EuroMeSCo General Assembly meetings and attended a series of high-level sessions addressing the future of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation amid rising geopolitical competition, shifting alliances, and growing security and economic challenges across Europe and the Middle East and North Africa.

📄 As part of PSI’s contribution to the conference, Dr. Ali Hijazi, Senior Researcher at the Institute, participated in the conference discussions and presented a research paper titled:
“A Transatlantic Rift? The Iran War and the Future of the US-European Alliance.”

🔎 The paper examined the implications of the Iran-related conflict for transatlantic relations and its impact on coordination between the United States and Europe. It also highlighted the effects of tensions in the Red Sea and the Gulf on international maritime security, global supply chains, and energy markets.

🤝 PSI’s participation in this conference reflects its continued commitment to contributing to regional and international policy dialogues, strengthening research cooperation across the Mediterranean, and supporting evidence-based discussions on security, governance, conflict, and regional transformations.

❓Do organizations collapse with the assassination of their leaders?

The question resurfaces following Trump’s announcement of the elimination of ISIS’s second-in-command in the heart of Africa, in the Lake Chad region. Yet before interpreting the event as either a victory or a failure, a more important question emerges: What does the United States actually seek through these strikes? And have such organizations already built immunity against them before they even began?

In her article, Shereen Eid examines the implications of the joint U.S.–Nigerian operation, the rise of the “Islamic State West Africa Province” (ISWAP), and the transformation of the Lake Chad basin into a space for ISIS’s strategic repositioning.
