🐝 MORE THAN HONEY… THIS IS ABOUT REBUILDING LIVES

When Hurricane Melissa affected Jamaica’s beekeeping communities, it wasn’t only hives that were lost. For many beekeepers, it meant losing a source of income, stability and hope for their families.

Today, they are Rebuilding. ❤️
Through Food For The Poor Beekeeping Livelihood Programme:
🐝 155 beekeepers supported
🐝 845 nucleus colonies provided
📦 420 bee boxes distributed
📍 5 parishes reached — Hanover, Westmoreland, St. James, Trelawny and St. Elizabeth

But behind every number is a person.
A mother. A father. A family. An entrepreneur working to get back on their feet.
This is what recovery looks like; not simply giving assistance, but helping people regain the tools they need to provide for themselves and their families.

As beekeeper Ann-Marie Peters reminds us:
“Bees are my world. I love it.” 🐝💛

We believe stronger livelihoods help build stronger communities and ultimately, a brighter Jamaica.
Together, We make a difference.

One stop. One litre. Lives changed. 🇯🇲❤️

Every time you fuel up at Texaco Jamaica gas stations, you’re helping Food For The Poor rebuild lives across Jamaica.

Homes. Hope. Families. Communities. 🙏🏽

This mission continues until June 19, 2026 - so next time you stop for gas, remember… each litre you purchase is doing more than you think. 🇯🇲✨

Today is Children’s Day 💛 and while many children are celebrating, so many across our country are still in need of love, care, hope, and support.

Join us as we reach children throughout Jamaica with compassion and practical assistance - because every child deserves a chance to smile, dream, and thrive. Together, we can make a difference in a child’s life today. 🇯🇲✨

To the mothers who carry strength in silence,
love without limits,
and give even when they have little left…
we honor you today.

A mother’s love can turn struggle into hope,
a house into a home,
and a child’s future into something beautiful.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who pray through pain,
sacrifice without recognition,
and continue showing up with courage every single day.

Your compassion changes lives.
Your faith inspires generations.
Your love reflects God’s grace.

Happy Mother’s Day
from Food For The Poor ❤️
