Members of Aspirar Jamaica’s Environmental Committee donated 5 trees to McIntosh Memorial Primary School in Manchester.

We’re committed to growing more than trees ; we’re growing awareness, responsibility, and future stewards of our environment.

Meet Mikayla Morant, a 26-year-old member of the Big Deal Team who has been a part of the organization for almost a year. In her time with Aspirar, she has become someone who strongly supports education and continuous growth, making our educational sessions some of her favorite experiences within the organization.

For Mikayla, one of her most cherished memories was witnessing the true meaning of community during and after Hurricane Mellissa — seeing members check in on each other, offer support, and ensure everyone was safe reminded her that Aspirar is more than an organization; it is a family. ❤️

Her journey reflects the values of learning, community, and service that continue to shape who we are.

Meet Shermaine Turner, who has been a part of Aspirar for the past 3 years. Throughout her journey, she has not only grown within the organization but has also served as a Team Leader for 2 years — a testament to her dedication, leadership, and commitment.

For Shermaine, Aspirar is more than an organization; it is a space that cultivates growth, not just personally, but professionally as well.

One of her most cherished memories was participating in our beach clean-up initiative hosted by the Environmental Committee in Alligator Pond, Manchester — a moment that highlighted the importance of service, teamwork, and protecting the communities we serve. 🌊🌱

Meet Shameeila Abrahams, a 21-year-old powerhouse who has been a part of the Big Deal Team for almost 5 years. What started as a journey as a simple volunteer has blossomed into serving as Secretary for not one, but two different teams within the organization.

For Shameeila, one of her most cherished memories was participating in a session hosted by the Environmental Committee — the tree planting initiative. But for her, it was never just about planting trees; it was about planting seeds of knowledge, commitment, and dedication that will continue to grow for years to come. 🌱

Her journey is a true reflection of growth, service, and what it means to embody the Aspirar spirit.

Meet 22-year-old Sabrina Samuels.

For almost a year, Sabrina has been a part of the Aspirar family, making meaningful contributions while embracing everything the organization stands for.

To Sabrina, “Aspirar is more than just people — Aspirar is family.” ❤️

What stands out most to her is that Aspirar doesn’t only focus on physical growth and development, but remains true to nurturing the spiritual aspect as well. For Sabrina, the biweekly prayer meetings remain one of her favorite parts of being involved.

Her passion, commitment, and belief in the mission continue to shine through, and today, we celebrate and appreciate her for being part of Aspirar’s Amazing 8 💙✨

For a little over a year, Akhila has been a part of the Big Deal Team, contributing not just his time, but his passion for creating impact.

For Akhila, Aspirar represents more than personal growth — it represents community, connection, and development. One of his favorite moments with the organization was being able to step into schools and witness students being given the opportunity to explore and act out their future careers.
