They came. They collected. They smiled. 😭🐣💛

By 10:22 AM, 210 bags of feed arrived. And one by one, the farmers of Parottee showed up to collect what Hurricane Melissa tried to take from them permanently.

100 baby chicks. 14 bags of feed. Per farmer. Today. 🙌🏾

Grandmothers. Young mothers with babies on their chest. Men and women who have farmed this land their whole lives. All of them, loading up their cars, their trucks with hope nestled in a cardboard box. 🐣

And the smiles? You can’t fake that. 😭❤️

An additional 6 bags of feed will follow in the coming weeks to support them through the full first cycle. This is not a one-time gesture. This is a commitment. 🤝🏾

Massive, heartfelt gratitude to and for this generous donation. You didn’t just donate feed and chicks - you gave 15 families their livelihoods back.

6:43 AM. The truck pulled up. And everything changed. 🐣🚚

Batch 1 chicks have arrived in Parottee for the comeBack Coop Project. 🙌🏾

This morning, 1,500 baby chicks rolled into the community - 100 birds for each of 15 farmers who lost so much to Hurricane Melissa and never stopped fighting to get back on their feet.

Those boxes? They’re not just chicks.
✔️They are livelihoods restored.
✔️They are income returning.
✔️They are hope with feathers. 😀🐔💛

None of this could have happened without the incredible partnership with and - thank you for showing up for our farmers in the most real, most tangible way possible. 🤝🏾

The ComeBack is not just a name.
It’s happening. Right now. In Parottee. 🇯🇲

When a disaster like Hurricane Melissa hits, the most powerful thing two organizations can do is stop working in parallel and start working as one. This is exactly what we are doing.

We are proud to announce the official partnership with and Not in Vain Foundation as we respond to the devastation left by Hurricane Melissa. This isn’t just a handshake moment, it is a commitment to show up differently. To move faster, reach further, and stay longer than either of us could alone.

What does that look like in practice? It means our supply chains are connected, our volunteer networks are shared and our logistics are synchronized. It also means the people on the ground get more - more resources, more support, and more consistency from organizations they can trust.

Recovery from a storm like this isn’t measured in days. It is measured in months and years. We are here for that journey.

🔨 From the ground up - remember how we started this shop a few weeks ago? 🙏

Thanks to the generosity of Terrica Jennings and Associates and Hamil-Scott Law Firm, the rebuild is well underway. The walls are up, the roof frame is taking shape, and hope is being nailed in one beam at a time. We are not done yet, but look how far we have come! 💪

That’s exactly why our Foundation is proud to be attending , a 3-day conference bringing together local, regional and international experts focused on Resilience, Operational Readiness, and Practical Risk Management.

We are showing up, not just to learn, but to connect, collaborate, and carry those lessons back to our communities. The work of rebuilding does not stop when the winds do.
