Statement
Afghanistan Women's Voice Movement
The Afghanistan Women's Voice Movement, through the launch of a series of visual designs, raises its voice in solidarity with the millions of Afghan women and girls who have been deprived of their right to education.
Education is a fundamental human right and the foundation of development, justice, and lasting peace. Denying women and girls access to education is a clear violation of human rights and an attack on the future of Afghanistan. A society that deprives half of its population of education can never achieve genuine progress or lasting stability.
The Afghanistan Women's Voice Movement calls upon all national and international institutions, human rights defenders, media organizations, and the conscience of the international community to take immediate, practical, and effective action to ensure the reopening of schools and universities for girls and to guarantee their right to education.
We believe that no power can silence the voices of women, and no future can be built without the equal and meaningful participation of women.
Education, work, and freedom are the fundamental rights of Afghan women, and we will continue our advocacy and resistance until these rights are fully realized.
